Status

Our server is currently down at dogg.pvv.org:27015

It is only running AdminMod. StatsMe with PsychoStats have been installed but have been turned of to increase performance. See also the public statistics page.

In addition, a HonksBot may be visiting #DOGG-clan as ServerDOGG, announcing game events.

Server use guidelines (DRAFT)

The server is owned by Da DOGGz (DOGG), but also in use for The Merciful ([tm]) and stiGmata. The following guidelines should be followed at all times.

Priority
DOGG have priority over [tm]. [tm] have priorty over stiGmata.
PCW limits
DOGG have unlimited access. [tm] may have up to 2 pcw/day. stiGmata may have up to 1 pcw/day.
Announcement
All use of the server must be announced on #DOGG-clan, identifying the type of event, and estimated start time and end time. All discussion about server usage should also be conducted in public on #DOGG-clan.

Mapcycle

The server is running a public mapcycle of the ClanBase ladder de_ maps:

  • de_aztec
  • de_cbble
  • de_dust
  • de_dust2
  • de_inferno
  • de_nuke
  • de_prodigy
  • de_train

This may be modified in the future.

Other available maps

In addition to the standard maps included with CS1.5, a number of custom maps have been installed. These maps will be played on special occations; for instance when we are bored of the standard map cycle, or during training.

Configuration

The server is running in one of three available modes: Public, Public Fun, or ClanBase. The rules can be changed with the command 'admin_rules <public|pubfun|cb>'.

There are some additional configs available, with minor differences from those above. 'cbcharges' implement the ClanBase Charges Only rules, by setting 'mp_maxrounds 0' and 'mp_timelimit 20'. 'doggfun' is almost identical to 'pubfun', except that there is no autokicking for tk, no team balancing, and no teamlimits. So it is quite useful for training using odd teams on fun-maps.

Procedure for CW

The following list is a stepwise procedure for arranging a CW on the server.

Preparing the server

  1. Set the server password
    admin_pass the-password
    
  2. Send a message to everyone, request non-players to log of
    admin_csay green Everyone not playing the CW, please log off
    
  3. After a few minutes, kick all remaining non-players
    admin_userlist
    
    For each unwanted player
    admin_kick <id> The server is going privat for CW
    

Starting a level

  1. Load the correct map
    admin_map <map>
    
  2. Now you are ready to start. After a few minutes warm-up, warn the players, and load the ruleset.

    This last command will initiate a 5 second restart, after which final preparations starts.
  3. The Go Live procedure is to ask both teams if they are ready, and wait for the confirmation.

    Then use the 3 x restart method to go live.

    The server will announce restart, do three restarts, and announce live. The match is now ON!!!
  4. When the level ends, remember to take a screenshot of the final score, using whatever key you have bound to the 'screenshot' function.
  5. The same procedure is used for each level; load the correct map, and then load the ruleset, and then do the 3xRS procedure.

Cleaning up after CW

  1. When the match is finished, load the public ruleset:
