Introduction
During most of my time of studying in Trondheim, I have spend a
considerable amount of time in the adventurous world of MUDding.
MUD stands for Multi User Dungeon, and if you do not know what a MUD is,
you're propably better off, since it is indeed addictive and time
consuming. If, however, you either already know what a MUD is, or you
simply still want to find out, keep on reading. To choose a MUD right
away, and start playing/study their homepage, visit
The Mud Connector! A couple
of other sites worth visiting, if you want more information on LPMuds,
MUDding etc., try
Lysator and
Enulal.

the next generation!
Deeper Trouble, previously known as Deep Trouble, is a very old
LPMud. It is mainly a Tolkien
based MUD, but still with room for some medieval elements. Their
address is sunsite.auc.dk 4242
. There are three known homepages for this LPMud, where I
personally prefer the one maintained by Kickaha,
who was one of the two Gods running the game when I first started
playing there.
- Kickaha's (Claus Skaanning) Deeper Trouble Homepage.
- Wize's (Michael Ditlevsen) Deeper Trouble Homepage.
- Sypher's (Bryan Siders) Deeper Trouble
Homepage.
I have played in Deeper Trouble for several years. My first character
was called Xotai, who has been an Arch Wizard for
quite some time now. Being an Arch Wizard basically means that you are
a part of the ongoing creation and development process, and also that
you have some responsibilities in ensuring that everything runs
smoothly, and everyone stays as happy about their playing as they
should be. In addition, I have played several 'player' characters,
such as Argon, Maroder,
Gumby and many more.

This was also a very old LPMud, which had a much less solid "theme"
policy, and also in general lacking in most of the areas where Deeper
Trouble has its strengths. However, at high levels, this mud could be
quite fun, since there was a huge increase in powers as you grew
"big". Some time ago, it started moving a little around, and it
finally disappeared, and to my knowledge has not, and will not come
back up. The latest known address to Round Table was 152.17.20.15 2222. In this game,
I played Xotai (surprise) as a level 85/100 mage, and Mardaggh as a
level 65/100 Knight.
Our own
LPMUD
You should visit the home page for our MUD! It
will tell you all about how the world was created, how to play, and
how to become a wizard.
At the moment, we need more wizards, so check out how you can sign up if you
feel like creating some cool areas, monsters and intricate dungeons
and quests. Also, you should read about what general theme new creations should
follow.

Other
MUDS
I have played in a lot of MUDs, almost too many to remember, but I'll
try and list up a few of them:
