Friends on the Net

Channels

Usually I hang out on DALnet, and I spend most of my time in the mp3 channel #countrymp3 and the help&chat channel #Newbie!Help&Chat. I've been through some of the other help channels; #mIRC4Dummies, #mIRCforDummies, #mIRC!Help&Chat and others. My nick is normally some variations of Huma - the exact nick depends somewhat on my current mood, and also changes with what I'm doing right then. If you've been to IRC, you know the drill... afk, otp, brb and so on.

Clients

First off, you need an IRC client program. Programs like pIRC and mIRC are well known. Others (less known) are available too. You should be able to find out about them by searching at any search engine. Try www.altavista.com, or download mIRC below (recommended).

Visit the mIRC homepage to check out the latest news, information and movements in the mIRC world.

Scripts

Next, you need a script. Well, you don't have to have one, but it's a lot more fun to the whole thing if you use some kind of script. There are quite a few scripts available out there, some of the most known being Rage and Silly. After playing around in mIRC for a few months, I figured I could make my own. I haven't even seen the other scripts, so mine might not be as good as those. I haven't put down all that much time making it, but at least it's different. You can download my script if you feel like testing it out. It has a few nice details to it, so why not try it out?

Download the latest version of my ¥Huma¥ script.

If you have any good ideas for something you'd like to see in the script, please do email me, and I will probably put it in.
