Grimm ("Frelseren")
- His future is more clear than most of the others, it has only two
branches; either he will reclaim Tethyamar, or he will die trying
- He is the only hope for reclaiming Tethyamar
- There are two reasons Tethyamar should be reclaimed:
- On its lowest level it contains (or contained) the most
powerful portal directly into one of the lower levels of the Abyss
(this was known by a few selected dwarfs, including his
mother)
- Just below it a sealed cave contains "The golden egg of Arondèl".
This is an ancient elven artifact stolen by Araushnee/Lolth when
she was banished. It contains parts of the power of the Sun, and
has awesome powers against undead ceatures. It is forgotten by all
except its undying guardians. The cave is sealed against all
travel, but can be broken into by mundane means from the caves
above. He will find it less than 50 meters below the hidden temple
of Dumathoin.
- Tethyamar is now guarded by
- Zhentarim in the top levels
- Beholder klan
- A powerful shadow dragon named "Anorith" is lairing below
- He has seen glimpses of both demons and devils, but they are
usually hidden from his eyes.
- His (Grimm) powers are granted through the dwarven gods, using (as
dwarves often do) an item.
- Will grow more powerful as he learns to use it
- He was blind to the closing of the portals
- The more powerful gods and demons are able to hide thing from
him
- He suspects that the dwarven pantheon was really after the
power from the portals
- Might be connected to the Thunder twins
- But all in all the closing has been more positive than he
thought initially
