Logfile from Brass&Steel. You enter apartment 3. 14 Terrace St. - Apartment 3 Ada is kneeling on top of the TV, attaching a strange-looking tinfoil device to the rabbit ears. Zach takes a look around as he enters the apartment and smiles hugely upon seeing his two favourite girls. "Hey ladies!" Ada . o O ( O_o;; ) Hachilah is sitting on the couch, watching Ada with great interest. She looks up as the door opens, and a broad smile cuts across her face. Ada nearly falls off as she reacts to Zach's entry, only keeping her balance by steadying against the bookshelf. Ada waves! Zach wooshes over and grabs hold of Ada. "Don't you go falling off the tv now, babe!" *smoochie* Ada eep! "Hello, yourself..." Ada slings her arms around Zach's neck and suffers herself to be carried. "How's life? Ada says, "Still hectic as anything?" Hachilah grins, gets up, and pads over to Zach and Ada. She hugs Zach tightly. "Hectic?" Zach manouvers himself and the ladies carefully over to the coach where they can all crash in a hug-heap. "Mmmmmyeah.." HE happily embraces them both. Ada snugs both Zach and Hachilah exuberantly. "All my favorite people in the world right here. Well, except Dad, but he's people on his own." Hachilah likewise settles happily into the hugpile, and sneaks a tickle under Ada's arm. "So Zach. What... have you been up to?" Ada eep! Zach chuckles at Ada's comment about her dad. "I bet he could arange a /wicked/ hugpile if he wanted to." Then he grows more serious. "As for what I've been doing.. Fixing cars and scouting out badguys." Hachilah 's smile fades. Her eyes tighten slightly. "Bad... guys?" She stresses the second word. "Plural?" Zach holds her tight and lavishes a kiss on top of her head. Then one for Ada. "Yes. Allthough mostly /one/ bad guy." Ada purrs. "The Professor?" You sense Hachilah has become somewhat tense, though she hugs back readily. You say, "Correct. Have you found out anything about him yet, hon?" Ada shakes her head. "Not yet. But I'll keep looking." Ada lays her head in Hachilah's lap. Hachilah gives Zach a look, then looks at Ada. "The professor?" Hachilah looks back at Zach. Zach nods. "Thanks hon." He looks at Hach. "YEs, that perverted balseraphic slimeball. The professor." Hachilah's eyes widen appreciatively. "Balseraphic? Lucius?" Her mouth remains open slightly, an expression of complete shock and surprise. Zach is dead serious. "Yes, Lucian is a balseraph. A pit of utter sefishness and sadism." Hachilah gives Zach an incomprehending look, then sits back and closes her eyes. She is visibly tense now, especially around her mouth, nose and eyes. She opens her eyes again, revealing a nascient anger therein, making her blue eyes shine with brilliant fervor. "You are certain?" Zach carefully studies Hachilah as he softly confirms: "Oh yes I am. The Symphony saw it fit to show me thet wothout doubt." You paged Hachilah with 'resonate'. AutoJudge: Zach rolls: 4 + 5 = 9 . Check die: 3 You paged Hachilah with 'Fail'. Hachilah pages: ok. You say, "How long have you known him and how much contact have you had with him?" Hachilah winces and scowls at the same time. She sighs, pulling her knees up to her chest and waving her arms delicately in front of her. "How is it that I did not KNOW?" She shakes her head, pauses thoughtfully, then, hugging her calves to her chest, her head descends to her knees. "How could I have been so deceived?" She looks back up as Zach speaks. "I've known him several months. We have had a great deal of contact... though I felt horribly responsible for my negative feelings for him... he made me feel disgust like no other..." Hachilah shakes her head miserably. "I had never known disgust, until I met him." Zach sighs. "You must learn to trust your instincts more, sister mine." You say, "He has been actively trying to make an angel despair of humanity and Fall. He is an extremely dangerous and poisonus serpent."" Hachilah gives Zach a look of quiet shock and concern. "You weren't able to discover who is the victim of his poison?" Hachilah continues, "...we need to help... them.." She trails off, clearly still in shock over this revelation. Zach frowns and shakes his head. "No I'm afraid the Symphony gave me no name. For all we know it could have been /you/. He had also set up some ploy to hurt the William Jewell College. That Liar is going down just as soon as I've scouted enough." Zach drags Hachilah into his lap now that Ada has left for the bathtub. Hachilah goes absently into Zach's lap. Her mind is full of quick thoughts at the moment, leaving a tight brow and deeply thoughtful expression. She hugs Zach tightly, nonetheless. "Going down? Without a chance for... redemption?" Zach sighs and in a gentle but firm voice says: "Hachilah, my sweet sister.. He is a balseraph. And while he /might/ be able to ultimately redeem, that will not happen at this point. Not unless higher powers that us get involved." Hachilah continues to look quite thoughtful. "Maybe if we take some time... plan... confront him. He must feel the disparity of his being, he must feel the fracture of his soul..." She looks up at Zach. "We have to _try_." Hachilah's eyes are bright and blue, wide and imploring. Zach shakes his head firmly. "No. Not this time. Not this bal. I can assure you he enjoys himself and the misery he causes quite well. He is a teacher at the university. He poisons young minds every day. I cannot suffer this to go on. I do not know which Prince he serves, but from what I saw in his heart I would guess Factions. Though I have never had any confrontations with them before. He seems to feed on sowing quarrels, fights and misunderstandings. Preferably violent fights." Hachilah lifts her chin up, and stares at Zach with a mixture of incomprehension and sadness. "You are too quick to destroy." Her expression hardens slightly. "You are impatient." Zach nods. "Yes, I am impatient. I cannot abide to let scum like him go unchallenged on God's Earth. Fortunately I'm old and experienced enough to wait for a better moment to slay him. A hundred years ago I would have killed him as soon as I Saw his heart. As much as I loathe Lust on a professional principle, this bal is a much greater evil that the impudite upstairs. I cannot allow him to harm more people or angels. To do so, would be to go against my very nature." Hachilah's nostrils flare slightly. Her eyes narrow. "So. You will destroy his vessel." She pauses for a moment. "Which will send him back to his heart. Where he may eventually find himself back, in Corporeal service, doing... what he does." Her chin goes up a notch, her eyes meeting Zach's with unflinching resolve. "Or is it part of your plan to endanger yourself in Celestial combat?" Clearly, this is not an option that meets her approval. Zach shrugs. "Not unless I have to. And yes, I am perfectly aware that he probably will be back. Maybe not here in this town, but somewhere. Hopefully he will be taken out yet again by other angels whenever that happens. It's a War Hachilah. It ain't nice by a long shot." He pauses and gently notes: "Reaching out to demons is well and good. The times it actually works are few, but more than worth the effort. However - reaching out should be restrictd to those that are at least vaguely reachable. This balseraph... There was no light in his heart. He thoroughly enjoyes what he is and what he does." You say, "I have informed the Trade thether of his excistence and activities. I have also assured them that I will not rest until he is sent back to Hell." Hachilah raises an eyebrow, her eyes taking on the warmth and colour of blue ice. "You judge too quickly. And your strategy is flawed. You can't win the War by killing demons. There are too many of them, and too few of us. This I know. This, I have been taught." She pauses, looks away, then back up at Zach with a kind of quiet resolve. In a small voice, she adds, "I. Must insist that you give me time. To try. To make certain that he is not irredeemable." Zach looks at her with a quiet sadness in his eyes. "How many demons have you met, Hachilah? How many of the balseraphim? The Symphony granted me full view of his height and depth of character. There was not much potensial for brightness in him, you can trust me on this. I /always/ read demons' hearts before I slay them unless there is no time at all to do so. I am a malakite - I do know my duties even if I am as easy going as they come." You say, "If you manage to show him the error of his ways before I strike, then that would be a miracle indeed. But know that I will strik as soon as I am ready." Hachilah's expression relaxes somewhat. She raises a hand to Zach's face and caresses his face lightly, her thumb grazing the outer region of his eyes. She pauses for a rather long time. "When will you be ready?" Zach leans into the caress and hugs her to him a bit. "I am scouting him out, trying to find out where he lives and where he works. I'm planning to check out thos places before I go in and confront him. I have asked Ada to try and dig up stuff about his Role on the internet. Maybe his role can be damaged too - then at least he can't pop back up into that one." Zach sighs. "Do you know of any other angels in town, by the way?" Hachilah nods. "Yes." She looks at Zach. "Are you looking for help?" You say, "Maybe. But not for the actual showdown. That I can manage well enough." You say, "You mentioned a mercurian once, then there is the Power of Judgement and the angel of Jazz. Any others besides them and us? Not counting the Traders?" Hachilah's expression tightens once more. "To attack him alone, without proper knowledge of his abilities... That seems reckless." Her hand stops still on Zach's cheek. She nibbles her bottom lip absently. "The Mercurian. Rei. He goes by Henry, but I haven't seen him around. Delia Fell, the Power of Judgement, I have met with only once. Marmesh." Her expression changes slightly, taking on a kind of guilty sadness. "I used to visit him, but he tired of my company..." She trails off, sadly, then continues. "Of course, there is Clarity, a fellow Creationer and Seraph. A dear friend, though I haven't seen her in awhile. She is a student at UMKC. Abner, the Seraph of the Sword, that you have yet to meet. Umariel, whom you have likely met at the Trade Tether. He goes by Omar, and has ties with a religious organization in KC." Hachilah says, "In other words, like, dude. We are so alone. :) Drowning in demons, indeed. :)" Zach shakes his head. "I haven't met Omar. Nor any of the others except Marmesh. I look in on him whenever I pass through the area... It seems that there are woefully few known angels around." He sighs. "I'm beginning to see why the JayBoss had me move here. This town needs some Change and badly." Zach nods. "It's time to start weeding, m'dear!" :) Hachilah objects! Strongly! :) Zach sniffs. We cannot allow weeds to chocke the Divine Carrots that are humanity in KC! :) Hachilah giggles. Hachilah says, "Carrots? ;)" Hachilah raises an eyebrow. :) Zach says, "Well...it was the first veggies I thought of:)" Hachilah says, "Hehe. :)" Zach says, "Cabbage any better?" Hachilah says, "Not really. ;)" Hachilah tickles. :) Zach says, "No, I thought so. Cabbage gives you gas." Hachilah sighs sadly. "You take on too much responsiblity." She hugs. Zach rises reluctantly. "That is why I am. It is my duty and I am honorbound to spare no effort in protecting the innoccent from the forces of Lucifer." Hachilah slides into a vertical position as Zach rises. She hugs him again. "Take care of yourself, Zach." There is a touch of fear in her voice. You say, "I gotta go, sis. Take care of Ada now. And youself! Be extremely careful if you have to go near that serpent. He twists minds and hearts for a living." Hachilah says, "I will be careful." Zach looks quietly horrified at the thought of Hachi meeting with Lucian alone, but he also knows more about stubborn seraphim than most malakim:) Zach kisses her gently. "I'll see you later, my sweet. Walk in Love." Zach heads for the door. Hachilah holds back. "See you later, Arethas." She looks fairly miserable. You open the door and walk out into the hall.
