Logfile from Brass&Steel. You paged Fidelity with 'Okay, I'm figuring this happens tomorrow maybe, or later tonight. I need to ascend, either via Trade's Tether or via the Marches. I'll ask Trade first. :)'. Fidelity pages: Trade says you make baby Jesus cry, and you smell funny. No, I'm kidding. The Trade folks allow you up the Tether in exchange for a 'minor favor'. Long distance to Fidelity: Zach thinks this is quite fair and happily agrees. *woosh* Well out of the Bazaar, he makes a beeline for the Groves and its treetops, trying to locate a rakning Windy. After the usual chasing and searching, he conveys his request for an audience with the Wind himself. From afar, Fidelity | "Indeed," says the Elohite who screens folks. "And what makes the Rapid Lord's presence so vital?" Long distance to Fidelity: Zach fluffs his wings and respectfully dips them a bit. "I need to ask a boon from him, a boon that will help keep my charges safe while I am away." Fidelity pages: WINGFLUFFERY! Ahem. Long distance to Fidelity: Zach's player figures that Zach's awayness during the holidays is due to Orders From Above. :) Long distance to Fidelity: Zach eyes Fidelity.. From afar, Fidelity | The Power eyes you for a moment, knowing that in Heaven you cannot speak but truth and yet gauging your emotional motives, clearly. Finally, he says, "I will dispatch a messenger to the Rapid Lord." Long distance to Fidelity: Zach is extremely protective of his humans, who he love dearly. One might suspect that Eli at some point stuffed a cherub force into the mix that is Arethas. One might be right. He bows gratefully to the elohite. "Thank you, Power." He backs off to wait. From afar, Fidelity | An Ofanite zooms off. Some time passes, in that way that time both passes and does not pass in Heaven. Long distance to Fidelity: Zach is enjoying himself immensely. It's good being back in the treetops again, and he eagerly looks afound for familiar flight patterns and such. He indulges in the odd loop and twirl, as it's neat to have wings again. Also, he does his best to make sure that he's not robbed blind by relievers and fledgelings. :) From afar, Fidelity | After some moments, a breeze picks up. A big one. "To the high treetops, Virtue!" calls out one Seraph to Arethas. Long distance to Fidelity: Zach wastes no time in following that call and zips onwards and upwards as fast as he can. He has to take the breeze into account, as it gatheres strenght and becomes increasingly difficult and treacherous to navigate. Oh, but it's good to feel so alive! From afar, Fidelity | There is a peal of thunder, or of something breaking the sound barrier. And the voice booms, "Speak!" Long distance to Fidelity: Zach keeps it short an to the point. No ponderous explanations when you face Janus! "Bright Lord, may I ask a boon from you? Two of the smallest force catchers to protect my charges in Kaycee while I'm gone." You paged Fidelity with 'OOC : Yes, I'm prepared to pay throught the nose for these. :) Cosmo has even offered to chip in! Very angelic to pay xp for something we intend to give to 'our humans'. ;P'. From afar, Fidelity grumble. Make me search for Liber Reliquarum. :P You paged Fidelity with 'You coulda asked! I have it right here! :)'. Fidelity pages: Feh. From afar, Fidelity | "It is your own people who craft such things, not mine. However, I will assign Relievers to watch over your loved ones in your absence, if your absence be proper and worthy." Long distance to Fidelity: Zach ohs and flaps his wings to avoid being whisked away by the winds that swirl and eddy around him. "I've had orders from one of your ranking servitors in the Detroit area to bring myself and my tools over for a week or so. Something about a borrowed airplane needing a trim." He pauses briefly. "There is a shedite who is going after my charges, so I thank you for any aid you can give. Certainly knowing that Relievers are watching over Harriet and Roger will calm my heart." From afar, Fidelity | "Never calm." And with that, The Wind is gone. Long distance to Fidelity: Zach smiles and zooms off, cheerfully yanking a seraphic tail as he passes a hovering Most Holy, then fleeing with a laugh. Hmm. Could still use a force catcher or two, just to be on the safe side. Maybe if he can get in touch with Eli. Will have to do that anyway when Harriet's to be sworn in. You paged Fidelity with 'I still want to buy one or two level/1 force catchers, but I see that'll have to wait until after the holidays. Useful gizmos to have when drippers are sniffing around one's soldiers. (Even if I were going to save up staff xp for an attunement. This is just so much more appropriate!:)'.
