Logfile from Brass&Steel. Cosmo is at his table. Reading through the paper, having stopped back by for dinner after Brynn and Harriet left. He's sipping some tea, one leg crossed. A moment respite from the day. Zach comes walking out from the inner sanctum of the restaurant. He looks around and spots his friend at his normal table. Wasting no time, he makes a beeline for Cosmo. "Hey there, I've just got down from Upstairs." He plops down on a chair with a smile. Cosmo looks up as Zach approaches. He unfolds his legs and stands up to shake hands. Then he settles back down. "You did, hmm?" He settles back into his chair. "And what did you find out? Any luck?" Zach continues to smile. Going upstairs always cheers him up real good, maybe because he sees his home so rarely. "Yes and no. I didn't get the relics, but Janus taold me he'd assign Relievers to watch over Harriet and Roger until I return. He more or less told me to ask Eli about the relics, since it's us that make most of 'em." --------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Zach Subject: Relievers from Janus To: Fidelity --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's what Zach will tell the little scamps (I do assume that he will have to briefe them): -The charges are Harriet Davies, an artist, and Roger Freeman, a cop. The latter is also a Soldier of God, the former is a recruit. -Roger has been under attack by a corruptor several times. Watch him closely. -Harriet's had threats from the same shedite, but seems to be in somewhat less danger. She responds very well to cuddles. -You may contact a Virtue of Trade named Cosmo here , if you need backup. He will also take the Relievers to Roger and Harriet himself. No telling or intros, though. I assume that the Relievers will be there incognito as it were? :) & Cheers, Zach --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cosmo gives a nod of his head a she folds up his newspaper. That's set aside on the chair next to him. "A good point. And that's kind of Janus. I suppose he was pleased to learn we'd stireed up the status quo here, hmm?" He smiles a little. Wondering how hard it will be to summon Eli. Zach chuckles. "I'm sure he is. I didn't go into a long report session with him. That's rarely a good idea with him. Keep it short and to the point. I've reported to his ranking servitors now and again, so he's informed otherwise." Cosmo chuckles and would expect no less. "Marc generally likes to take his time and enjoy the conversation. But what would you expect from a Mercurian?" He fiddles with a fork, twirling it in his fingers. "Have you decided how you'll try to get in contact with Eli?" You paged (Fidelity, Cosmo) with 'I wonder if Harriet and Roger will thank me or curse me for this... Relievers of the Wind visiting. Things being moved around, replaced, disappearing and... Oh dear. 8) Maybe they'd be better off with Boh! :) :) (Not that I have any intention of telling them about said little scamps!) You have a sick and twisted mind, Fidelity. I just realised.'. From afar, to (Zach, Fidelity): Cosmo chuckles and was just considering that both ICly and OOCly. Zach taps his fingers on a napkin on the table. "No, only that I will try. I have an idea or two though, as there are several ways to attract his attention in. Just like with the other Archangels." He winks to Cosmo. "I seem to remember that Marc used to look favorably upon trading goods hidden from the eyes of the law, way back when I last worked with you guys." Long distance to (Cosmo, Fidelity): Zach agrees. We should keep mum on it to Harriet and Roger, lean back and watch the mayhem ensue. :) Cosmo adjusts the knot of his tie. "Why, I don't know what you could possibly mean. A servant of Trade would never encourage someone to provide anything the law would frown upon. Say, helping a company avoid tarriffs on steel or providing marijuana. No, never." Cosmo does let a smile appear. To indicate he is, indeed, teasing. Zach chuckles and beams at Cosmo. "Of course not. And certainly not providing various western goods to the black markets in the Soviet Union and, say, China. That'd never happen." He leans back on his chair and grins. "Anyway, I'm going to let the little ones know how to contact you when I brief them. Other than that, I will not be telling neither Roger nor Harriet about them. It's safer that way. What they don't know, the corruptor can't find out by posessing them," he states grimly. Cosmo nods his assent with this viewpoint. "I'll concur with that. They probably won't like that, but it is for their own good." He lets his hands rest on the table, smiling crookedly. HE's done some barricade running in his time. Quite enjoyable really. "Oh, I don't think we'll have do to anything about Sarah. Apparently, that is Brynn's target." Zach lifts his eyebrows. "Ah! Well..." He breathes out slowly, a flash of regret appears in his eyes, then it's gone. "She has it coming. Did you warn Brynn that the Punisher might be quite powerful?" Cosmo reaches over the table and gives Zach a firm pat on the upper arm. "Yes. She does. And I did. I told her that if things proved too difficult I would assist her. I think she needs to do this on her own. Help heal whatever has harmed her." He frowns a little and takes a breath. "I assume the Symphony told you the same thing it told me about her." Harriet enters from the lobby. Cosmo senses "Zach nods gravely. "Do you now understand why I feared for Harriet's safety around her?"" Cosmo is seated with Zach. Apparently having returned to Bo's for dinner. "Yes. I do. I'm curious as to what happened exactly. But I felt a direct question might have upset Harriet." Or Brynn for that matter. And who wants a pissed of Malakite of Fire. Harriet peeks into the resturant, looking a bit harrassed. She peers around, and spots Zach and Cosmo. This is becoming a habit. She beams, waves, and speaks quietly to the hostess...same one as before, which prompts the women to exchange grins. A waiter is dispatched. "Ah, gentlemen? The lady over there was wondering if you wished company?" Cosmo senses "Zach continues to nod. No objections here. "I hope she manages to work her way out of whatever her trouble is. I fear that her soul is tainted, but hopefully the Brightest Lady will cleanse our sister once she proves herself."" You paged Cosmo with 'A cleansing by Gabriel. Can you say 'OUCH!!'? :)'. Cosmo looks up as the waiter approaches. A quick glance revesl that Harriet is back too. "Of course, please show her over." He turns back to Zach. Another breath and then he nods. "If there is any ... taint, I'm sure there are things she can do to help work it off as well." Cosmo pages: You never know. She might decided you need some passion. :) The waiter returns, bearing glad tidings. She smiles and nods at him, and then makes her way over to their table. "Funny meeting you here again, you know?" she says with a cheerful grin as she plops herself down in a chair. Ahhhh. You paged Cosmo with 'And I'd end up as smallfry. :)'. Zach deadpans at Harriet. "It is? Do you see anyone laughing?" Cosmo looks over at Zach, then at Harriet. "I didn't see anyone laughing." He grins over at her and leans in to hug her from the side. "Yes," Harriet says, serenely, "but I'm told that if I keep taking the medication, that'll stop." She winks, and returns Cosmo's hug with enthusiasm. Zach flashes a happy smile at Harriet. You'd have to be blind to not see that he's fallen head over heels for her - and he's enjoying every second of it! "You look a bit stressed there, doll? Anything happen after I took off?" Cosmo settles back in his chair after the enthusiastic hug. He adjusts his napkin again. "Yes, you took off rather suddenly. Everything okay?" While his reaction is not quite as...overt, he is rather fond of the young woman. Harriet smiles. "No worries. It had nothing to do with Stuff, you know?" She looks rather exasperated, as she shakes her head. "I agreed to help a friend in my building go Christmas shopping. She lost the list, and tried to reconstructed on the fly...at the mall...in shopping season." Zach shudders. "Shopping can be fun, but not when it resembles life in the trenches back in 1916!" Cosmo laughs and shakes his head. A soft, chuckle under his breath. "I imagine she purchased more then she intended if that is the case." He leans back, lacing his fingers behind his neck. He loves that sort of thing. "I do help it went well." Harriet grins. "It was closer to armed warfare than I would have liked. Some of those people are /mean/ with those rolls of wrapping, you know?" She chuckles. "But, yeah, we got everything straightened out, and had some fun to boot. How about you guys?" Zach smiles and looks serene. "I've been taking care of some work-business, and Cosmo's been chatting up Brynn I think," he says airily. Cosmo snorts at Zach. Giving him a Stern Look (TM). "I have /not/ been chatting her up. We did discuss a few things though." Besides, dating a co-ed would /not/ be good for the roll. Harriet giggles, and flashes a mock reproving look at Zach. She glances back at Cosmo, with barely surpressed amusement. "What did you talk about, you know?" she asks, and closes her mouth against any other remarks she might be tempted to make. You paged Harriet with 'Yup! It was during Swordfish that this discussion happened.:) I think he looks better without the pointy hair and the sideburns though. Zach will never have pointy hair!'. Harriet pages: If Zach had pointy hair, he could probably EliMalakite it into a weapon! Zach snickers and flashes a very naughty grin at Cosmo. He sure is in a sterling mood today! Soon objects might start changin places. If one is not careful. It's a fond grin though, no malice at all. He only teases people he likes. Long distance to Harriet: Zach laughs. I think that's what NC: Horns is for. :) Harriet pages: But this way, there's no Disturbance! From afar, Harriet hmms, and actually isn't sure about that...is there? You paged Harriet with 'There isn't. Unless I start destroying corporeal stuff with 'em. :)'. Harriet pages: So, see! *waves her Pointy Hair for Zach flag* You paged Harriet with 'Nooooo! Dilbert's Boss has pointy hair! I'm not going to end up doing random acts of management! :)'. From afar, Harriet thinks about Zach as a manager, and just fears! You paged Harriet with 'Exactly! It' be Gabriel's honkers, I mean trumpets next!'. Harriet pages: Oooh, you'd get in so much trouble if Brynn heard that. :P Cosmo winks back at Zach. He's not really offended. ANd truth be told, Brynn is rather attractive. And an angel. So it's allowed for him to engage in physical relations with her. He shakes his head to stop woolgathering. "Just things. About her reason for needing a firearm. She had to leave though." Long distance to Harriet: Zach knows! :) Wouldn't dream of letting that slip with her around! Never insult an Arhcangel if one of their malakim is withing hearing distance! Harriet nods, and sighs, looking briefly quiet at the thought of firearms. "Hmm. If I don't run into her tonight, I'll swing by her dorm tomorrow, you know?" She blinks. "I wonder what Aria's been thinking about her roommate running around bleeding through her shirt, you know?" Zach has to go to bed now. I need to catch a few hours of sleep before work. :) Harriet hugs! "I'm glad we got to see you before the hiatus!" Cosmo says, "Night, Zach." Zach cuddles Harriet's arm. "That sounds like a good idea, hon. I'm impressed at how you've maneged to handle her so far. But now I'm afraid I have to leave you again. I'll drop by to deliver your Christmas presents before I go away to Detroit. Take care now, and you can always call me on my cell phone." Zach says, "Thanks for all the rp! It's been good fun. I missed you Cos! :)" You paged Fidelity with 'Thanks for the Janus-scene! It was really neat! :)'. Fidelity pages: You're welcome. Harriet bounces out of her seat to give Zach a hug before he dashes off. "Be safe, Zach. I'll see you when you get back, you know?" She smiles at him. You paged Fidelity with 'And I still think sending Relievers of the Wind to guard Roge and Harriet is a perticularly twisted and fun idea!! :D'. Cosmo missed you too. Have fun over the holidays if I don't see you. Cosmo stands up to give Zach a hug as well. One of those manly back-slappers. He settles back into his chair again. "Be safe, brother." Zach kisses Harriet gently and then recieves Cosmo'saffectionate, manly hug. "Be safe both of you, till we meet again." He grins and winks at Cosmo as he turns to leave, sharing a secret perhaps? You step outside
