Logfile from Brass&Steel. Terrace Lofts -- Number 4B Zach drops in to tuck Harriet in! :) Harriet is putting covers back on pots, and things back in the fridge. There are broken shards of a plate on the counter, and green mittens and earmuffs on the table. Harriet yays! "Knock, knock...", sayeth a soft voice from the direction of the door. Harriet blinks, and goes to the door, and opens it. "Did you...oh, hey Zach!" Harriet beams at him. "C'mon in, you know?" Zach beams back at Harriet and lifts her up in a big, warm hug. "Hey there, hon. How're you doing?" *smooch* Harriet giggles at the smooch, and the air hug...which is returned with enthusiasm. She ushers Zach in, and closes the door before answering. "I'm doing okay. A bit worried about Aria, and relieved that I no longer think that Brynn is trying to talk me out of a gang, but otherwise good, you know?" She chuckles, realizing that's probably more than he wanted to know. "How about you?" Zach smiles warmly to her. "I'm good, thanks. What's up with the redheads? Talk you out of a gang??" He looks mightily curious and quite bemused. "Long story. About the gang, anyway." She waggles a finger at him. "And don't tell anyone I mentioned it. I'm still not sure what's going on, you know?" She looks at the shattered remains of the plate, and sighs. "Aria's easier, however. She's feeling stressed, and upset--at least in part--about Lucian. Understandable." She reaches over and hugs him again. "I was just putting these things away." She gestures to the food. "Did you want some?" Zach embraces Harriet and gives her a nice cuddle. "No, no.. I'm not hungry thank you. And I'll keep mum on the gang thing, at least until I've managed to weedle it all out of you." He smiles down to her, then turns a sad kind of serious. "I take it Aria were fond of the 'professor'?" Harriet cuddles briefly, before pulling away and finishing with her kitchen tasks. "Haven't a clue, actually. Unfortunately, I haven't had as much contact with her as I have with Brynn, you know? But, well, even if she wasn't terribly attached to him, it'd still be a shock." She shrugs. "And I didn't dare try and get her to open up with Brynn around... Brynn thinks there's Something Odd going on, and wants to get to the bottom of it. And whenever I try to lie, I stammer incoherently." Harriet pages: This is why Harriet was looking so uncomfortable last time Zach came across her and Brynn. Brynn was interrogating her. :) Zach moves over to help Harriet with cleaning up and putting away. He strokes her back briefly. "I'm sorry to have put you in such a position, Harriet. I suppose it's better to keep quiet that tring to outright lie. Lying is best avoided anyway. Is Brynn giving you a hard time?" he asks with a conserned frown. "It's okay," Harriet assures him, leaning back into the caress. To his question, she shakes her head. "I enjoy her company, and she hasn't brought it up since the first time, you know? Which is not to say I think she's given up." her smile turns wry. "I have a feeling that Brynn is /nothing/ if not determined. But it'll probably blow over, soon." She yawns as the last of the food is tucked into its safe little hidey-hole in the freezer. Zach tilts his head and regards Harriet in a slightly mother hen fashion, then sighs and smiles. "Allrighty then. I really came by to tuck you in, you know. Seem I timed it perfectly." Harriet chuckles, and tilts her face up to him. "Did you really? That's sweet, you know...although I /am/ capable of finding my bed on my own." She smiles, and snuggles. "But it's very sweet; thank you, Zach." Zach grins and laughs softly. "I know, I know. But I kinda like cuddles and sweetness too and will shamelessly encourage it whenever I can." He plants a little kiss on her head. "I'll stay if you like, or I can vamoose as soon as you've gone to sleep. Your call." "Of course you can stay, Zach," Harriet smiles, "you're always welcome in my home, you know?" She yawns again, and tilts her head. "I can't imagine that I'm very good company when I'm asleep, however." You say, "Oh, I wouldn't say that. You look very sweet when you're asleep. All warm and cute and....at peace." Harriet blushes, and ducks her head. "Um, thanks. I'm, ah, going to go change, you know? I'll be right back out. Help yourself to anything you'd like, of course." She raises her head and smiles at him, before darting towards her closet and retrieving a pair of pajamas. She disappears into the bathroom to don them. Zach smiles after her and goes around the appartment to turn off the lights. He lights a couple of candles instead, and sits down on the bed wating for Harriet. Harriet emerges, blinking at the sudden lessening of light. Having already taken her glasses off (sleeping on glasses is bad), she makes her way to the bed mostly by instinct, and cuddles with the dark form which is almost certainly Zach. "The candles are nice. I hardly ever use them myself, you know? I tend to forget about them..." Zach chuckles and hugs her close. "I like candles. There's something nice and comforting about those real, live little flames. So where do you want your teddykite for the night? On top of cover or underneath? If it's the last one, then I need ot get out of my leather, as they will get too hot and clammy for comfort." His voice conveys a smile and he gives her an extra little hug-squeeze just because. Harriet giggles at 'teddykite', and says with amusement, "You can share the covers, of course. I'm certain you'll be a perfect gentleman." She yawns again, buries herself under the covers, scoots to give him room, and closes her eyes politely. Not that she could see anything anyway, but it's still polite. Harriet pages: You know, one day she's going to meet a Malakite of the Sword, or of War, and she's just going to be /dreadfully/ confused. Harriet pages: Or possibly the 'Kite will, wondering why this human knows what they are, and still expects them to be...cuddly. :) And not that Zach would care at all. He's used to both partial and full nudity. But he doesn't want to push Harriet in any way, either. His leather trousers (black this time) are removed from his corpus, socks come off and then he crawls underneath the covers and snuggles up to Harriet. "Good night, peachblosson. Who knows, one of these nights I'll come visit you in your dreams," he murmurs. Long distance to Harriet: Zach giggles. "Oh I'd love to see you try that one with the Commander! He's soooo cute when he's flustered." :) You paged Harriet with 'Of course Zach, given his history, will also heartily recommend seraphim for those extra special sinuos snuggles. Cue: Michael..'. Harriet pages: If he wasn't carrying a big-ass sword at the time, she probably would. She has firmly decided that Malakim Are Cuddly. And she'd like Seraphim simply because so many of them are so...dignified. It makes her want to follow them around and make them laugh. Harriet sighs contentedly as she recieves angel-quality snuggles, and gives back a few of her own. "Peachblossom?" she says in a sleepily astonished voice, then smiles in the darkness. "That'd be...interesting, you know?" The last word is almost swallowed by a gigantic yawn, and her eyes slide closed again. You paged Harriet with 'Harriet has been fortunate enough to meet kites working for the two mercurian Archangels. The only ones better at cuddling would be the novalans.:)'. Zach holds her close and lets her drift safley and snugly to sleep... The End... From afar, Harriet nods. Very lucky. This early in the process, I think the more warlike Malakim probably would have sent her sobbing in Lucian's arms, and his idea of the War. Zach says, "Thanks for the little scene. It was cute! :) Now Go To Bed!" Harriet hugs, and waves. "It was, indeed. And now, I will follow your advice and sleep..." Zzzzzzzz
