Logfile from Brass&Steel. Clarity is lounging somewhat idly on bench in the park, a thick textbook on her lap and a small pad in her hands as she occasionaly flips a page or makes a note on what she has read. She seems to not be actually writing, but more doodling semi-randomly. It's cold today, and chilly winds are sweeping through the park. Along a path a man comes walking slowly, apparantly deep in thought. He's got his hands buried deep in his pockets and his brow is furrowed. Without even looking at the girl already seated there, he flops down on the bench and gazes out across the parkland without actually noticing anything. You see a young girl, a woman who has just reached her second decade at most and seems to be a few years younger than that. A moment more and you realize that it's not her appearance that makes her seem young, but rather it's her attitude. Her blue eyes glance around as she takes everything in, a good-humored smile hovering about her lips. It's as though she were seeing something far more interesting than others might. She turns to look at something and a strand of her glossy black hair comes free of the unrestrained mass which spills about her shoulders. Absently she flicks the errant strand back to join the rest, the pale skin of her hand making a stark contrast to her hair as she does so. She is dressed casually currently. A pair of black sneakers are on her feet, a slight worn pair of blue denim jeans on her legs, and the entire ensemble is topped off by a white t-shirt emblazoned with the words: "How's life? Ask me when I've finished..." Clarity just looked at you. Clarity appears somewhat oblivious to the cold winds, seemingly comfortable despite the weather, but the abrupt presence of someone dropping themself onto the bench next to her is a bit beyond her ability to ignore her surroundings. Looking at Zach, she contemplates his expression for a moment then digs into her backpack for a tissue which she silently offers him. Zach is a tall man, probably about 6'3". Slim, well built and rather handsome, his apperance is one of goodnatured machismo. He carries himself well, with an air of cheerful confidence and a flirtatious sparkle showing in his green eyes. Movements are smooth and precise. His hair is relatively short cut, black and wavy. A workman's tan is visible, and hints to much time being spent outdoors. The clothes he is wearing are simple, but durable: Blue jeans, white, slightly oil-stained t-shirt and a blue denim jacket. A leather belt sporting an enameled buckle can be seen. The shoes seems to be black Doc Marten's. There is a very faint whiff of oil about him. Zach notices the movement from the corner of his eye, and turns his head slightly to see what this white thing being waved at him is. He looks from the tissue to the hand holding it to the girl attached to the arm. An eyebrow goes up quizically. "Er..pardon?" Clarity smiles slightly at the uncertainty in Zach's voice, a touch of amusement in her voice as she pulls her hand back and asks, "Did you hear me say something?" "No I didn't. I was kinda wondering about the tissue," he answers. Probably this dude isn't used to be randomly offered tissues by strangers on benches. He smiles, though. Clarity laughs softly, "One possible explaination for why a gentleman, such as yourself, who sit down next to a young lady wearing a t-shirt on a day such as today and not make an offer of any kind involving shelter from the wind could be that the gentleman in question had a cold and was not feeling well." She paused then asked, "So, do you need a tissue?" Zach quirks a small smile and chuckles mildly. "No, miss. I don't need a tissue. I'm okay. How about yourself? Aren't you cold?" Clarity gave a small shrug, still smiling faintly, "I have felt worse that this when I was younger." She paused for a moment then asked cautiously, "Is there something wrong? You seemed to me to be rather preoccupied when you sat down here." Zach sighs softly and shakes his head. "Naw, I'm okay really. Just some funk about a woman. The usual stuff.." he waves dismissivly with a hand. "What's that you're reading?" Clarity keeps her eyes on Zach as she replies, shutting the book on her lap so that he can see the cover clearly, "A copy of the third edition of 'Introductory Textbook of Psychiatry' by Nancy C. Andreasen and Donald W. Black. I was rereading it again, primarily to remind myself of the contents." Zach lifts an eyebrow. "Psychiatry? You a student over at the University then?" Clarity nods at that, turning slightly on the bench towards Zach, "At the moment yes, but I hope that I won't remain there forever. May I ask what you do?" Zach smiles to her and shifts so that he faces the girl. "Sure. I'm a mechanic. I fix stuff, and sometimes I build stuff from scratch. Name's Zach." He offers a handshake. Clarity smiles and takes Zach's hand, letting his grip envelop hers, "My name is Clarity, but certain records seem to state that I am properly Clarity Johnson." Her smile flashes into a grin for a moment, "I will not insist that you always call me that though..." Zach gives Clarity's hand firmly and smiles. The smile widens considerably upon hearing her name, and the way she presents it. He straightens up and a small sparkle lights up in his eye. "Clarity, eh? That's a very beautiful name. And somewhat unusual, isn't it?" Clarity says, "My father called me it and I prefer it over many nicknames that people have tried to derive from it... Being refered 'Rity' isn't something that I enormously enjoy." Zach laughs. "Tell me, would you happen to know a young girl named Hachilah?" Clarity gave a cautious nod, pulling her hand back from Zach, "I have met her a number of times, although I have not seen her very much recently." Sarah arrives from the south. Zach now grins from ear to ear, all glumness apparantly forgotten. He mutters to Clarity, "... might... you..." Clarity senses "Zach now grins from ear to ear, all glumness apparantly forgotten. "In that case, I think we might be related. I belive we have the same father, you and I."" Zach waves! :) Long time, no see! :) Sarah says, "care to set the scene?" Clarity pages: May I resonate on you? Zach will do that!:) You paged Clarity with 'Not at all! :)'. From afar, Clarity checks that again, "You mean you don't mind at all?" On this cold and slightly windy day, two people are sitting on a benchin the park talking. A young woman, only dressed in jeans and a t-shirt and a man in his thirties who has been wise enough to add a jacket to his own jeans and t-shirt ensemble. You paged Clarity with 'Er. Yes. Sorry.:)'. You paged Clarity with 'Go ahead is what I'm trying to say.:)'. AutoJudge: Clarity rolls: 3 + 1 = 4 . Check die: 6 Zach says, "*splutter*" Clarity grins at -that- result, "+1 CD for being within a yard of you..." You paged Clarity with 'So do you want the Truth of what I said or what I'll be going to say? :)'. Sarah strolls though the park, doging late joggers and dog walkers. She's also bundled up in a warm jacket. Clarity pages: I only turned on my resonance after you said that... You paged Clarity with 'Okay. I'll page over Truths as they come. :)'. You sense Clarity looks at you with more than the merest hint of surprise before asking quietly, "Would you mind repeating that?" Clarity senses "Zach chuckles and almost bounces where he sits. "Not at all. I belive you and I have the same father, Most Holy."" You paged Clarity with 'The Truth is that the dude in front of you indeed hails from the same origin as yourself. He is an angel of Creation. And as your resonance brushes by Eli, static noise sets in as usual.'. The two people on the bench seem deep in conversation. The young woman seems a bit taken aback by something the man says. He, on the other hand, is grinning widely, seeming extremely chipper. Clarity moves a little closer to Zach, whispering something intimately into his ear with a smile on her lips. Sarah glances over idly at them as she passes the bench and then blinks, coming to a full stop "Zach?" Clarity whispers "I am very glad to hear that..." You sense Clarity adds even more softly after a moment, "...Especially when it seems to me to be the Truth." Zach gives the young woman a big, happy hug without further ado, but releases her as he hears a familiar voice from a few yards away... Clarity senses "Zach answers quietly, "Indeed it is, and I'm so glad to meet you!"" You paged Clarity with 'True!'. Zach stiffenes slightly, turns and looks around. "Sarah." Sarah is tall for a woman at 5'10". Much of this height comes from her long shapely legs which are, like the rest of her skin, a dusky brown -- the color of coffee with cream. She is slender but muscled, giving proof that she works out. Her curly black hair just brushes her shoulders and frames a lovely oval face with warm brown eyes and lush red lips Today she is dressed in tight black leather pants that cling to her legs and rear like a second skin. Over it she wears a tight sleeveless red shirt, it's neckline swooping low enough to show off the top of her breasts. The shirt is pulled in even tighter with a black leather belt that wraps around her waist. On her feet at low heeled black leather boots. Clarity turns slightly, looking for whoever it was who just called Zach's name. Sarah flashes him a smile and heads over "It's been a while! Where in the world have you been?' Clarity senses "Zach stiffens considerably more than the casual observers would see. He's not happy to see this woman." To (Sarah, Zach, Clarity), Lucian pages: Is it safe to wander into Swope Park? ;p Zach smiles wanly to Sarah. "I could ask you the same question, you know.. I've been around. Working to earn my rent y'know." You paged Clarity with 'Truth: Working his role-job, learning a Song, plotting the demise of local demons...'. Clarity pushes away from Zach for a moment, frowning at him, "Is she your -girlfriend- or something?" Sarah gives Clarity a quick hard look "No. I'm not. Are you?" You paged (Lucian, Sarah, Clarity) with 'That's a good question. We're nice and calm so far. :)'. Zach shakes his head. "No, she isn't my girlfriend." Lucian arrives from the south. You paged Clarity with 'Truth: She is neither girl nor friend. She is *Enemy*.'. Clarity gives a small smile and asks, "Your girlfriend? Not as far as I am aware..." You paged Clarity with 'Damn your CD6 anyway... Sarah is an ex-lover of Zach's and he is conflicted about her.'. Sarah eyes flick between Clarity and Zach as she asks the man "Out on a date?" Lucian just looked at you. Zach smiles a bit at Sarah, his eyes softening somewhat. "No Sarah I'm not. Relax, Clarity's just a friend ok? How've you been mm?" Sarah sticks her hands in her pockets and smiles at him "Oh, pretty good. Been busy with Holiday stuff. You paged Clarity with 'Technically Clarity's more than a friend - but you knew that. :)'. Clarity moves to her end of the bench, opening a space between herself and Zach then smiling at Sarah, "Do you want to sit down? I could leave if you two want to have a... conversation." And into this cheerful, friendly scene wanders Lucian Szabo, puffing on a pipe and carrying a satchel. He draws himself up as he spots the familiar crowd, and his eyes narrow as he looks over Clarity and Zach. Wheels, they turn behind those blue eyes. Sarah shakes her head "No, no, feel free to stick around." She holds out her hand to Clarity "Sarah Roberts." Zach sighs more. Headache setting in. I've been awake for too long.<:| I need to find my bed while I can still see clear enough to make my way to it. Sorry guys. Clarity is nearing two in the morning where she is in RL as well... Sarah hugs "Sleep well! Lucian says, "Maybe you two oughta head out, then, as sad as I am to say it." Clarity nods, "Sorry to duck out so soon on this." Zach leans over and whispers something smilingly to Clarity as he gives her a card, then rises. "Nice to see you again Sarah, but now I gotta leave you two ladies. Duty calls." From afar, Clarity hopes she can get the Truth on that... ^_^ You whisper "Habbalite. Be very careful!" to Clarity. Sarah nods and smiles at Zach "See you around then." Long distance to Clarity: Zach just delivered a big, fat lie! It was patently NOT nice to see Sarah again. Duty, however, does call. Duty to his role. Zach says, "Thanks for the rp, what little of it there was! :)" Zach smiles and waves to the ladies and saunters off at a brisk pace. Clarity hmms, looking at Sarah with a touch of admiration and she tucks her books away and stands up, "I think that I am late for dinner at the university. Perhaps we shall meet again, some other time." Zach hugs muchly all around! :) You paged Clarity with 'And yes, there is a habbalite there to be careful around. :)'. You head North until you hit the smaller Brush Creek Parkway.
