Zach is sitting at a table nursing a beer and relaxing to the music. Roger pushes the door open and walks in. He glances around, noting the absence of Duke, but he spots Zach he smiles and turns hissteps in that direction Zach gulps down the last of the contents in his bottle, and looks around for a waitress. Upon noticing Roger, he grins and waves hin over. Roger plops down across from him "Hey there, hows the day treating you?" Zach smiles. "Fine, thanks. Been gettin' some work to pay my beers." He grins. "How 'bout yourself? How's the beat been?" Roger looks around for a waitress at the mention of beer "Not bad, just got off duty as a matter of fact. Might swing by the community center later to see how some of my boys are doing. They have all night basketball games there on the weekends. Zach calls over to one of the wonderwomen who brings drinks around to tables, then turns back to Roger. "Do you do voluntary work, or is there a professional cooperation between the cops and the community center?" Roger smiles his best smile at the waitress and orders a beer before turning back ato Zach "Like I said to Duke I do commumity policing so it's basicly professional cooperation." Zach ahs. "Right, I see." He stretches a bit. "That must be interesting work if you're a people person. Is your community as desolate as the one Duke took us to? Or not quite as depressing?" Roger says, "It's not quite as depressing as that, well most of there. There are some blocks..." He shakes his head and sighs "But most of it there's a real sence of community."" Zach smiles. "Is it a mixed population?" Roxanne enters from the street. Zach *really* wants his beer and puppydogeyes a waitress. Roger says, "Mostly Black, but with increasing number of mexicans and other immigrants." Roger and Zach are sitting together at a table chatting."" A waitress finaly descides too notice the two men and wanders over to take their order for beer. At your table, Zach looks up and charmingly asks for yet another beer, and one for the nice policeman as well. Roxanne saunters into the club and takes a look around. At your table, Zach says "Sounds like a neighbouhood with a lot of potential." Roger chuckles a bit at Zach and adds his smile to Zach. He looks over at sound of the door opening and closing and then his face lights up as he spots Roxanne. He waves to her "ROxanne" Roxanne is a young woman who seems to be in her mid-to-late twenties. Her ruby-red hair is cropped short, exposing crisp green eyes and a somewhat weathered complexion. She has a muscular and sturdy build, and stands at a respectable 5'9". Roxanne is dressed casually in jeans and a white t-shirt. Big, black boots cover her feet and ankles. There is a locket on a chain around her neck. She has a number of rings on each hand. The waitress scribbles down the order and heads off. Zach looks over at Roxanne and then at Roger. He grins and says something to Roger. At your table, Zach says "Ooh.. That the lady you were telling me about the other night?" Roger nods at Zach "Sure is." Zach smiles warmly to Roxanne and lifts his hand in greeting. "Hey, why don't you come over and join us?" Roxanne smiles hugely at Roger and strides over to the two guys. At Zach's offer, she smiles even wider. and plops down into a chair. "Long time no see." She winks at Roger, then turns to acknowledge Zach. "Evening." She sticks out a hand. "The name's Roxanne." Roger smiles at Roxanne as she sits down "Yeah, it has been. Sorry about that. It's just that works been keeping me pretty busy lately. I'm sure it's the same for you." Zach shakes her hand with a firm, warm grip. "I'm Zach and may I say it's very nice to meet you!" Roxanne's mouth quirks up on one side, and her eyes twinkle as she shakes back, also firmly. "Zach, is it? The pleasure is... all mine." She glances at Roger, then back at Zach. "Are... you a cop too, Zach?" Zach laughs. "Me? A cop?" His laughter turns in to a low, baritone chuckle. "No, I'm a mechanic." Roger grins "Nope. I just met Zach a few days ago. Here in fact. We have a mutual friend." Zach nods in agreement with Roger. Roxanne's eyes light up. "A mechanic? Really?" She sits back and seems to take a closer look at Zach. She glances at Roger. "You just met a few days ago... are you new in town or something?" You say, "Yup. Arrived only a week ago today."" Roger smiles at Roxanne "You seem pretty worked up, does your car need fixing?" Roxanne chuckles at Roger. "When _doesn't_ my car need fixing?" She turns back to Zach. "Hey, I'm sort of new in town myself. Just started working at the Speedway here in town about a month and a half ago. Don't suppose you have an interest in racing?" Roger nods "Yeah I know that feeling sometimes Roxanne. How is the speedway doing? Getting ready for the summer? I assume at least that most the racing is done in the summer." Zach grins hugely. "I have been known to occationally enjoy moments of high speed, yes." He glances at Roger. "Absolutely legal, I assure you." His eyes, however are *much* too innocent for this to be true... Roger raises an eyebrow at Zach "Ah legal of course, I'm sure you've never gone over the speed limit." Zach look absolutely saintly. "Never!" He chuckles and decides to save his hide by asking if the lady would like something to drink? Roxanne gives Zach a wicked grin that says 'I don't buy it, buddy'. Nonetheless, the offer is met with approval. "I think I recall that they serve draft in this place...?" Roger simply chuckles and takes a swollow of his beer. "How rude of, care for something to drink Roxanne?" Roxanne flashes an equally wicked grin at Roger. "Hey, you wanna get me one too?" Roxanne winks at Roger and rests her hand lightly on his arm. Zach leaves it to Roger to puppydogeye a waitress this time. Roger flashes a smile at Roxanne "Your wish is my command my lady." He gives her hand a squeeze and stands "Let me get it at the bar, the waitresses are rwally busy tonight." He heads over to the bar and attempts to flag the bartender down. Roxanne chuckles at Roger as he leaves, and turns to focus her attention fully on Zach. Roxanne joins you. At your table, Zach smiles to Roxanne. "So, you're new here too? Where do you come from?" At your table, Roxanne grins. "I'm from all over, really. I guess I'm a kind of a wanderer. Don't like to put my roots down, you know. How about you?" At your table, Zach chuckles. "Well, then I guess we have something in common. I'm a vagabond myself. I travel all over America. There's always use for a mechanic, so I have no problem getting by." Roger finaly manages to snag a beer for Roxanne and returns to the table. He prosents to her with a florish "My Lady." At your table, Roxanne nods approvingly at Zach, before glancing at Roger and grinning widely. "Such service. I feel like I should tip you." Roger winks at her "No need, just showing proper respect for a lady." He sits back down and stretches out his legs Roxanne shakes her head slightly, looking down into her drink for a moment before glancing back up. She sighs and sits back even further, pulling the mug closer to the edge of the table. "What a crazy couple of weeks, it's been. To answer your question, Roger, we are actually busy at the Speedway into mid-October." She takes a hearty sip of the beer, closing her eyes and savouring it. She looks at Roger. "You know, we really ought to do this more often." She's grinning wickedly again. Roger hestates for a moment and then reaches over and lightly strokes Roxannes' hand before grining at her "I'd like that a lot. Hows your son by the way?" Roxanne says, "woo :)" Roxanne seems a little startled, but doesn't exactly pull away. "Theo... is being a little _pill_ actually." She smiles. "He's got a cold, and he's really unimpressed about it. Poor little guy." Roger nods "I know the feeling, I hate being sick. Have you taken him to the doctor?" Zach relaxes back on his chair and nods slightly to Roger in an approving sort of way. His eyes are warm and smiling. Roxanne nods. "Yeah, but you know what they say. It's a cold... so he's supposed to get lots of rest and plenty of fluids until he gets over it. There really isn't much I can do for him..." She sighs again, showing signs of stress and worry that weren't quite apparent before. "But it is just a cold." She smiles, awkwardly, regaining her cavalier attitude and taking a swig of beer. Roger also takes a drink of beer and nods "Yeah, poor kid." He smiles at her "Hey I haven't taken you up on yoru offer to come watch the races yet. I'll have to do that soon." Roxanne's expression brightens. "Definitely." She glances at Zach. "Maybe you can tag along... I can easily swipe another free pass for you, if you're interested." Zach's eyes twinkle mischiveously. "I'd love that. But only if Roger agrees." He waggles his eyebrows a bit. Roger nods, looking at Zach "Yeah, that would be cool." You say, "We could do it when your kid has gotten rid of his cold, eh?" Roger looks back at Roxanne and nods "Yeah, that would probably be better for you huh." Roxanne smirks, looking at the table for a moment, apparently amused. "Uh... Great then. I'll set it up. Theo is on the mend, really. Don't worry about it." She clears her throat. "How about next weekend?" Roger thinks for a moment "Yeah, I could do that." He grins starting to look a bit exicted "I've never been so this will be cool." Zach nods. "'S good for me. I have no dates that I know about." He smiles. Connor enters from the street. Roxanne seems taken with Roger's enthusiasm. "I think we got some good headliners next week, too. Should be a good time." To Zach, she says, "Hey, why don't you bring a date? Three passes are as easy to arrange as two." She winks at him. Roger grins at Zach "Oh yeah, how about that girl Sarah you were talking about." At your table, Zach chuckles. "Now there's an idea..." This older man stands at just two inches shy of six feet. His silvering hair is very closely cropped to his head. His liquid blue eyes peer at those who pass by. His lips are drawn thinly on his face, and a smile is rarely formed from them. A long thin nose divides his face in half. His chiseled face seems to be fighting a losing battle with time. Only the scar that runs down his left cheek seems timeless. His back stands perfectly erect, even if his shoulders sag a little. His stomach shows signs of no longer conforming to youth's tempered flatness. He seems to favour jeans over other pants. His shoes are comfortable but worn tennis shoes. If he's wearing anything over his forgettable denim shirt, it's a leather jacket. All over the jacket are unit patches from the Marines. On the back, more recently attached than the others, is a patch that reads "My son serves in the Corps. Semper Fi!" Roger takes another swollow of his beer and smiles at Roxanne "Who's racing that day?" At your table, Roxanne grins. "I'm sure that a looker like you will have no trouble finding a date, so I'll get three passes just in case." To Roger she says, "Infiniti Series Pro 100, at Noon." She grins. "Is that too early in the day for you?" Connor comes in with his jacket over his shoulder. He mosies over to the bar, and sits down on a stool. His arms wriggle into the jacket again. With a smile, Connor asks for his usual, a Killian's Red. Roxanne grins and says something to Zach and Roger. Roger raises an eyebrow when Roxanne says that Zach is a 'looker' "I think I'm jelous. Huh? Noon, no noon is fine." Roxanne says, "Which parts of that did you say? :)" At your table, Zach grins. "I actually stopped by Sarah's shop a couple o' days ago. Bought me a great pair of pants there." Roger says, "hmm?" Roxanne says, "You said, "I think I'm jealous"? :)" Roger nods At your table, Zach snorts a laugh at Roger's comment. Zach is laughing and saying somethin to the two others. Roger finishes his beer with a sigh "Anyone want another beer?" He looks at Zach "Leather pants? Really? I'm impressed." At your table, Roxanne swivels her head around to face Roger head on. She sighs. "Hey, come on. Look at him. He's a looker. Come on, don't be weird, Roger." Roxanne swivels her head around to face Roger head on and says something to him. Roxanne sits back, looking a bit uncomfortable. Zach snorts. "Yeah, I'm sure you are, Mr. I-can't-see-myself-in-leather-pants!" HE grins. Connor just looked at you. Roger simply grins at Zach and shakes his head before looking at Roxanne, his smile fadding a bit "I'm only joking Roxanne" Zach smiles to Roxanne. "Hey, don't worry. We're just exchanging manly lines here." Tammi enters from the street. Tammi just looked at you. Tammi is a young woman of about 18. She stands about 5'8" tall, and her figure could not be called slim - though neither could she be called chunky. Her hair is a very light blonde (though the roots are showing darker), and cut in a full feathered cut that falls about her shoulders. Her bangs nearly hide her light brown eyes, and her lips are painted with a scarlet lipstick that stands out prominently against her lightly tanned skin. She's currently wearing a baby tee in hot pink fabric that falls to just above her navel. Across the front of the shirt is printed in glittery red ink "The answer is maybe". Her faded jeans hang low on her hips so that her entire midriff is exposed, bulging ever so slightly over the waistband. On her feet are a pair of no-name athletic shoes in white. Roger waves to Tammi. Connor drinks down some of the beer. He smiles at the bartender and makes small talk, almost as if starting the conversation where he may have last left it. Roxanne shakes her head, and pushes her near empty mug forward. "Right. Just kidding." She sighs and smiles, standing up. "Hey, I think this round is mine Roger." Roger pauses and then nods "Sure, I'll take the same then." He waggles his empty bottle at her and grins. Roxanne's mouth quirks up on one side, the overall effect being a saucy smirk. "Sure thing." She glances at Zach. "How about you... hot pants?" Tammi sits down at the bar. The bar. At your table, Zach snickers and looks at Roger with an amused look in his eyes. "Did that woman just call me 'Hot pants'??" HE turns back to Rox. "I'll have another one of this too." He pokes his beerbottle with a finger. Roger smimply chuckles and turns to scan the growing crowd at the bar. He spots Connor sitting there chatting with the bartender and taps Roxanne on the arm "Hey, I've just spoted a friend of mine there at the bar. Could you let him know I'm here." He points at Connor "That's him there." Roxanne nods at Zach, a saucy little nod. She saunters over to the bar. Roxanne stands and leaves Table 6. Tammi turns her back on the bar, leaning back and resting her elbows on it to face the crowd Zach then looks around the bar and notices the newcomers. He smiles to Tammi. Roxanne nods at Zach, a saucy little nod. At Roger's request she raises both eyebrows and nods, smiling. She saunters over to the bar. Tammi smiles back Roxanne sneaks up behind Connor, and pulls up beside him, jostling him slightly. She grins. "Hey old-timer. How's it going?" She waves at the bartender. At your table, Zach leans over to Roger. "That old guy at the bar who just walked in. He a regular?" Zach leans over to Roger and says something. Connor turns and smiles, "Well, well, well." He chuckles, "Coming to get drinks or join the old fogey?" Roger shakes his head at Zach "I don't think that I've ever seen him here before, but I know him. His name's Connor. Used be in the Marines. He works for a magizine now." At your table, Zach nods. "Journalist then?" Roxanne smirks. "What can I say? I'm a sucker for a man in leather." She winks at the old guy. "Also, it's my turn to buy the drinks." She orders her round, then turns back to Connor. "Speaking of which, my pal Roger says you're a friend of his..." She points over to the table. "He's over there. He, uh... wanted me to tell you that he's here." She grins. "Wanna join us?" Roger shrugs "I belive so." Connor smiles at Roxanna, "Roger? The cop?" He smiles and looks to confirm his own question, "Not only will I join you, but those drinks are on me." He nods to the bartender before he hops off the stool and moves to follow Roxanne. At your table, Zach says "And the girl? She looks kinda young for this place..?" At your table, Roger blinks at Zach "What girl?" At your table, Zach points discreetly over towards Tammi. Zach is saying something to Roger and points discreetly towards Tammi. At your table, Roger glances over at Tammi and shrugs "Hey looks old enough to me." He grins at Zach "Want to go talk to her?" Roxanne quirks an eyebrow and leads the way. "Hey, you move fast for an old guy. The way you stole that round from me." She winks at Connor before settling back into her seat. At your table, Roxanne says "This round is on Connor, apparently." At your table, Roxanne smiles. At your table, Zach grins to Roger. "Seeing as you are bogarting the other woman here..." Then he turns to Connor. Zach smiles up at Connor. "Oh, hey!" He puts out his hand. "I'm Zach. Noce to meet you!" At your table, Roger raises an eyebrow at Zach "Bogarting? What's that?" Then he turns and smiles at Connor "Connor, great to see you again. It's been a while." Roger glances curiously over at Tammi. Connor smiles and shakes the offered hand, "Connor ... Major Connor Ahern, United States Marine Corps Retired. Roxanne has invited me to have a seat. Any objections?" There's a mischievous glint in his eye. Tammi grins back at Roger.. Zach's grip is strong and firm. "None whatsoever! Please sit!" He grins. At your table, Zach glances at Rogert and smiles. "Monopolizing, then.." At your table, Roxanne smirks and looks at the table. At your table, Zach says "Excuse me for two seconds.." You stand and leave Table 6. Roger nods at Zach and smiles at Roxanne "I belive you have my beer madam." Zach walks over towards Tammi, smiling. Now his full height becomes apparent. Roxanne glances back up, apparently amused by something. She looks at Roger and says something. She grins, but she follows Zach with her eyes. Tammi waits for Zach to speak as he approaches Zach ambles over next to Tammi. "Evenin' miss. You here alone or waiting for someone?" Connor smiles and talks with Roger at the table. Tammi says, "I'd have to say alone for now.." You sit down at the bar. The bartender lets you know he'll be right with you. The bar. Roxanne grins mischieviously and says something to the people at her table. At the bar,, Zach twinkles a warm smile. "Why don't you come over and join us at yon table? The more the merrier, my pa always used to say." Zach leans over and says something to Tammi. At the bar,, Tammi says "Well why not.." Tammi frees up a stool at the bar. The bar. You leave the bar. The bar. Tammi pushes herself off from the bar, wandering to the table with the crowd. Tammi sits down at Table 6. Zach follows Tammi after asking the bartender to send another round of drinks over to the ever more crowded table. You sit down at Table 6. At your table, Roger snorts "I'd rather have them breeding then knocking over liqour stores. At least sex keeps them busy." He looks up as Zach and Tammi settle down at the table and smiles politly at the woman "Evening miss." Zach looks at Tammi. "I'm Zach by the way. This is Roger, Roxanne and Connor." At your table, Roxanne eyes the young lady for a moment before smiling and extending her hand. "Hey there." Zach then lifts his eyebrows at Roger's comment. At your table, Tammi says "I'm Tammi.. Pleased to meet you." At your table, Connor drains his beer and says, "I'd rather they did something even more productive ... like pose for my magazine." He grins and chuckles, At your table, Tammi says "Magazine? what sort of magazine?" At your table, Connor says "finishes his chuckles, "Seriously, I don't envy you the task of cleaning up the streets, Rog."" Roger gives Zach a innocent look before holding out his hand to Tammi "Roger Freeman" At your table, Roxanne swats Connor, grinning, and takes a healthy sip of her beer. At your table, Tammi shakes the ofered hand At your table, Roger gives Tammi's hand a quick squeeze before leting it drop. He nods at Connor "I'll never say it's an easy job, but it's a rewarding one." Zach looks interestedly at Connor. "Yeah, what kind of magazine do you work for?" Connor smiles and replies, "It's a small military history magazine." Zach nods. "Any particular brand of military history?" At your table, Roxanne chuckles and sips her beer. "Buns and Ammo, right?" At your table, Roxanne smiles goadingly at Connor. At your table, Zach laughs. Roger chuckles at Roxanne "Now that would be a interesting magizine." At your table, Tammi says "I don't understand.. what sort of posing would you need then?" At your table, Roxanne grins. "Chicks with guns. It never gets old." At your table, Zach turns to Tammi. "Mooning, I guess." He grins hugely. At your table, Roxanne looks over at Tammi, to watch her reaction. At your table, Connor gives Roxanne a wry look, "No, that's the sort of low brow magazine I'd expect others to look at." He winks but replied to the original question, "It's about all of military history. As long as Man has smacked others around, we'll cover it." He smiles to Tammi, "I'm doing a piece on the War on Terrorism, how it's being perceived at home. As I write in the little blurb, we have an opportunity to record history as it unfolds." At your table, Tammi says "Too bad.. I could do that posing with the guns" At your table, Roxanne snorts softly, and takes another sip of her beer. At your table, Roger chuckles at Tammi's statement "Well I'll bet that you would be good at it." He smiles at Roxanne "You too." At your table, Connor just shakes his head with a smile somewhere between amused and bemused. At your table, Roxanne rolls her eyes as she glances over at Roger with a smirk. She swats his arm but good with the back of her hand. "Not likely." Tammi has to give over the computer.. others need it.. sorry bout this.. A waitress comes over to their table with yet another round of drinks for everyone, including Tammi who is getting whatever she was having at the bar. Zach thanks the waitress and administers bottles, glasses and whatnots. Roxanne says, "Okay, later Tammi!" Tammi has disconnected. Roxanne seems appalled as Tammi evaporates. "What magik is this!?" At your table, Roxanne eyes the new drink with amusement. "Ok, this is my third drink, and I have _yet_ to buy a round." She looks around the table. "Hey, we should do this more often." She grins. Zach smiles. "Here you go, ladies and fellas..." More drinks. He sighs a bit when Tammi suddently has to leave. "Dang, but you get all the luck Roger!" At your table, Roger grins at Roxanne "What, you don't think your model materal? I think you are." He smiles up at the waitress as she hands him his beer.and taps it against Zach's bottle "Don't I know it." Zach grins and winks to Rox. "I'd definitely buy the mag if you were picktured in it wearing a gun and a bikini." He grins wider. "And I'd make sure Roger never found out I had it!" You say, "And, no Roger, I'm not hitting on Rox. I'm merely being absolutely shameless!"" At your table, Connor mumbles something about yungins. At your table, Roger flashes a grin at Connor "Yep, aren't we just horrible." Then he looks at Roxanne "Hey, would you be interested in dancing?" Zach eyes Connor. "Right. You of course never look at pretty ladies." He flashes a warmly teasing smile again. At your table, Roxanne sighs and grins and sits back, amused. Her eyes twinkle as the amusement dances around her pupils. She leans forward and runs a finger down her mug, watching Zach. "I have something that those gun-toting bikini skanks don't. It's called self-confidence. I don't need the attention. And I certainly don't want it." She turns around to talk to Roger. "Dancing? You mean stripping?" She grins. "I'm afraid the same applies to stripping. I just don't need that kind of... attention. At least not publicly." At your table, Roger gives Roxanne a blank look "Stripping? Huh? What? No no, I ment would you like to go out to the dance floor and dance with me." At your table, Roxanne laughs. "Yeah, I know what you meant." She stands up. "Well, what are you waiting for?" At your table, Roxanne extends an arm to Roger. At your table, Connor says to Zach, "I look, but don't touch. Marines act with honour and integrity at all times." He smiles. At your table, Roger chuckles and takes the offered arm and stands Zach chuckles and shakes his head at Rog and Rox. Roxanne leads Roger to the dance floor. Roger throws a grin at the two men left siting at the table and follows after happily after Roxanne. At your table, Zach nods to Connor. "I can definitely dig that!" His smile radiates approval. "So, how long were you in the marines, man?" At your table, Connor smiles, "Almost three decades, son." He smiles and pats the kids arm, "Well, I have to go." Connor says something to Zach, pats his arm and then rises sliding his chair back in Roxanne falls into the rhythm of the music relatively easily, smiling at Roger and watching him. You say, "Already? Oh well. It was nice to meet you, man." Roger matches her moves and the music, swaying to the rytham. He smiles back at Roxanne as the dance. Connor drops some money on the table, "Pleasure. I'll see ya around." He smiles and takes off. As he turns he says, "Give my regrads to the dancers when they return." He winks and heads out Zach nods to Connor and sez g'night. Roxanne nods appreciatively at Roger, as he seems capable of getting down and shaking a leg. She seems kind of new to the music herself, as if the jarring brassy notes are not exactly the kind of music that she's accumstomed to. Roger slips her arms around Roxanne's waist and says "You're a good dancer. DO you dance a lot?" Zach leans back on his chair and takes a swig of his beer while watching the dancers with a fond smile about his lips and eyes. Roxanne stiffens slightly at the embrace, but relaxes shortly thereafter. She smiles and loops her arms together around Roger's neck. "Not at all. At least, not to this kind of music." She blushes slightly. Roger grins down at her "Well then, we'll have to do tthis more often so you can get used it." Zach continues to watch Roxanne and Roger, getting a bit of a faraway look in his eyes. Connor has disconnected. Roxanne smiles widely, looking down and back at the table. She watches Zach for a bit, then says something to Roger. Roger glances over at Zach and looks a little suprised to see that Connor isn't there. He looks back at Roxanne and nods "Yeah, he does" Roxanne sighs and looks at Roger. Roger gazes into her eyes and whispers something to her Roger mutters to Roxanne, "Have... you... you're..." Zach smiles softly and sips his beer. A waitress wanders over to Zach "Want another beer?" Roxanne loses her step and stumbles slightly over her feet. Regaining her composure, she smiles, albeit weakly, and says something back to Roger. Roxanne mutters to Roger, "... No. Actually." Zach looks up at the waitress and shakes off his reverie. "Huh? Nah, I'm fine for now thanks, hon." The waitress nods and begins to clean up all the epmty bottles that little the table Roger blinks at her and whispers back "Well then let me correct that. You are beautiful." Zach glances around the club and humms softly along with the tune. From afar, Roger grins "Getting bored? You paged Roger with 'No, not at all:)'. Roxanne seems a little surprised, but pleasantly so. She does, however, also seem unsure of how to react. Roxanne mutters to Roger, "... Thanks?" Roxanne smiles and blushes again. Roger simply smiles down at her and continues to dance. Zach notices the bodylanguage being spoken on the dancefloor and grins to himself. Roxanne dances too, but less smoothly than before. She glances awkwardly back at the table. Roger nods and whispers back Roger mutters to Roxanne, "... if... He... starts to lead... floor." Zach smiles amicably to Roxanne. He looks totally relaxed with his legs streched out in front of him Roxanne twines her fingers around Roger's as he leads her from the dance floor and back to the table. Roger smiles and wraps his finger around hers. Roxanne lets go of Roger's hand as she returns to her seat at the table. Roxanne sits down at Table 6. Roger sits down next to her and reaches for his beer Roxanne waves at Zach. "You looked lonely, chum." Zach smiles to them both. "I did? Hey, I was just doing my zen thing. Did you two have fun dancing then?" Roger nods "Oh yeah, Roxanne here is a good dancer." You say, "You didn't look half bad yerself either." At your table, Roxanne blushes slight and rolls her eyes. "I am nothing without a good partner. You know. Someone who can bring out the best in me." Roger shifts slightly in his seat looking slightly embarrased at the prase "Well thanks." Zach grins at them. At your table, Zach says "Will you two get more or less awkward if I scoot myself off from here?" Roxanne turns and squeezes Roger's arm. "Don't be modest, you've got rhythm. And a license to shake it, baby." She winks, and retreats back into her seat. She glimpses her watch and she grimaces slightly. "Oh, it's getting late." Roger glances at his watch "So it is, awww...don't tel me you have to leave? Roxanne glances at Zach, then give Roger an apologetic grin. "Yeah, it's about that time." She sighs and drains her mug in a single swig. Zach ahs to Rox. Then he turns to Roger and whispers something to him. You whisper "Offer to drive her home! You haven't had that many drinks." to Roger. Roxanne quirks an eyebrow. "Hey, what are you whispering about?" Roxanne grins. Roger nods at Zach "Err, may I give you a lift home?" Zach grins back to Roxanne. "Never you mind. Man-talk ensuing." Roxanne rolls her eyes and grins, as she stands to leave. Roger gives Roxanne a hopeful look. Zach hides a smile and looks away. Roxanne gives Roger and mischeivious grin. "I would _love_ a drive home." Roger blinks and then gets a wide grin on his face "Really? Wonderful." He stands and gathers up things before glancing at Zach "Err sorry to vanish like this onyou." Roxanne grins and waves at Zach. "Nice to have met you, Zach. I guess I'll see you at the track next Saturday." Zach snorts a laugh. "No probs, Roger. I'm used to life in the fast lane as it were." Roxanne shakes her head at Zach's remark. "Right." Roxanne grins. Roger grins at Roxanne and offers her his arm "I'll catch you around Zach." Zach nods to Roxanne ans shakes har hand. "Right back at ya, hon. I'm looking foreward to the races." Roxanne takes Roger's arm and follows him wherever he may go. Zach waves farewell to Roger and Roxanne with a warm smile. "Be good, kids!" Roxanne shoots Zach a look over her shoulder. You sense Roxanne gives you a saucy wink. Long distance to Roxanne: Zach )
