B.J.'s Lawnside B-B-Q -- Dining Room and Stage Contents: Goldie Roger Ada Obvious exits: Out Roger nods "I'll be right back. I'm going to get a drink." He makes his way though the crowds towards the bar. From afar, to (Roger, Zach): Traci doesn't have an account any of those places now.. Goldie looks out over the crowd with an almost disappointed look in her eyes, as though something that she had hoped for wasn't quite there. Continue her milling wander, she began to look around for somewhere to sit as a resigned expression crossed her face. Traci enters from the lot. Hachilah enters from the lot. Zach mosies his way into the crowd and gives it a once-over. He spots Ada and Roger and waves in both directions at the same time. Amazing! Ada is flop't at a table, drinking a gin and tonic. Roger is busy making his way to the bar, joining the thirsty crowd and fails to see Zach enter. Hachilah wanders in following after Traci with I kind of an odd expression. Goldie is settling down in a quite corner she has found, watching the crowd and being unobtrusive. Zach meanders over to the bar to get a drink and fail utterly to notice the ones who just walked in behind him. Traci waves to Roger as she sees him. Roger finaly makes it to the bar and orders a beer "And make sure it's cold." Zach taps Roger on the shoulder. "Could ya get one for me too?" Zach grins. Roger turns arounds and flashs Zach a grin "Well sure." He calls to the bartender "Make it two." You whisper "Nice to see you, man! How are you?" to Roger. Hachilah takes a look around. Her disturbed expression falls to rest on Ada, then lingers over at the bar. Roger takes the beers and pays, "I'm good, come join Ada and me." Goldie's eye catch on a familiar face entering and she lets out a half exasperated sigh, holding still as she watches Traci and looks as though she wished that she could simply vanish. Zach smiles and follows Roger. Together these two big, strong men wade through the throngs of people like tractors through a cornfield. Roger smiles down at Ada "Mind if we join you?" He glances briefly around the room and sees Goldie for the first time. He nods in her direction, clearly rembemering her. Ada needs to go. Back later. Have fun. Zach looks around again and spots Hachilah. His face splits into a big, warm smile and waves. Hachilah has mildly disturbed expression. She waves, but lacks the usual smile. Hachilah multipages (Roger Zach Goldie): ; nods slightly in Traci's direction. Goldie gives a half nod in return to Roger, staying where she is for now. Zach nugdes Roger and yells to him: "There's Hach!" Traci starts to wander over to Roger's table.. Zach pauses and looks in the direction Hach is nodding. Traci is a young girl of about fourteen or fifteen. She's about 5'5" tall, with a slender, willowy frame. Her strawberry blonde hair is tied back behind her head in a ponytail, the end swishing between her shoulderblades with every toss of her head. Her eyes are a cool pale green . Her full, almost pouting pink lips shine almost damply with a trace of lipgloss. Her complexion is perfect, her creamy pink skin almost fine as porcelain. Traci's dressed casually, having managed to get out of her uniform for once. Above the waist she's wearing a soft white short-sleeved blouse with a peter-pan collar, the top button undone and showing the fine chain of the necklace about her throat. A pair of faded jeans cling to the swell of her hips, the knees slightly worn. On her feet are a pair of white runners. Roger follows Zach's gaze and sees Hachilah and also waves in her direction before following her gaze. He nuges Zach and nods towards to Traci. As she approches he smiles at her, almost if he can't help it. "Traci..." Traci says, "Hey there. Mind if I join you?" Hachilah makes her way over to the table, slipping easily through the crowd. Hachilah senses "Zach frowns slightly. Makes a questioning gesture of inviting Hach over. As in: You don't have to if you's rather not." Zach smiles to Traci. "Sure! Take a seat." Roger flicks at glance towards Hachilah as she approches them and then looks back at Traci "Of course not, please join us." Goldie looking over the crowd with abrupt interest and a carefully blank face, noting a few other familiar people already here. Catching sight of Hachilah, she frowns as the uncharacteristic experssion of the other girl registers. Traci squeezes in between Zach and roger. You sense Hachilah seems to have made up her mind. :) Roger glances over at Goldie and smiles at her, giving her a small wave. Zach grins to Roger. "Well? Are you going to introduce us or what?" Zach tries to see who Roge is making secret waves to:) The first thing you notice about this small figure is the mop of short blonde hair, clean and shining, a colour so golden it almost gleams. From beneath the fringe of hair peer out dark brown eyes, wary and suspicious of the world. The face beneath the eyes has only begun to show hints of femininity, still much more girl than woman. As your gaze moves from her face, it becomes obvious that her body is that indeed of a young girl, no more than sixteen at the most. It would be generous to describe her build as 'slender', 'skinny' or 'scrawny' probably being closer to the truth. Combined with a sense of hollowness about her face, it's pretty clear she doesn't always get enough to eat. Though she's not imposing, or indeed much more than at best 'pretty', there seems to be an almost disconcerting intensity to her. It is as though she is exactly who she is and nothing can change that, the force of her personality leaving an impression which quite belies her size. She wears a rather worn looking grubby fleece jacket, the right length for her, but too big around her body, its zipper done up all the way to her neck so as not to reveal whatever is beneath. A pair of somewhat dirty jeans cover her legs, clinging to the curves of her developing hips, the cuffs rolled up a bit so as to keep the cuffs out of the dirt. On her feet are a pair of worn sneakers - not quite ratty, but definitely getting in need of replacement soon. Roger turns back to Zach clearing his throat "Zach, I'd like you to meet Traci Lovejoy, Traci meet my friend Zach." Traci says, "Pleased to meet you" Traci offers a hand to Zach You paged Traci with 'I'm trying to resonat right away, ok?'. Zach takes Traci's hand and shakes it with a big smile. He looks her in the eye and states: "Hey, Traci! Nice to meet you!" Hachilah nears the table, but holds back as her attention strays to the girl that Roger has been waving to. Traci pages: Shure thing. Goldie stands up from where she had been sitting, it becoming clearly apparent that her presence has obvious to a number of people. Walking over to the table that Zach and Roger were sharing, she sat down opposite Traci and commented to Roger, "Should I take the 'wink and wave' act as hint that you'd like me to come over here?" You paged Traci with 'Touching -> +2 CD if I make it...:)'. AutoJudge: Zach rolls: 1 + 3 = 4 . Check die: 6 Roger pages: ooh nice! Hachilah pages: Booyah, baby :) Traci pages: Mind if I resonate back? Hachilah pages: Unless you have a pitifully low Perception? :) You paged Traci with 'Yah. That's a CD 8. :) Oh well, you just got resonated by a malakite. Honor and virtues up to and including level 6, please:) And of course you may resonate!:)'. Roger smiles at Goldie "Sure, you were looking kinda lonly over there, but don't feel pressured to join us if you don't want too." As Zach takes Traci's hand he glances between them, some of his smile sliping away." Long distance to Hachilah: Zach sniffs. Is not pitiful!:) Traci pages: Hmm. How do I get you that info.. AutoJudge: Traci rolls: 3 + 1 = 4 . Check die: 1 From afar, Traci Well, you may hate me, but you want to be nice to me.. :) You paged Traci with 'Page me:) Just take your time, we'll smalltalk.'. You paged Traci with 'Ok, nice it is. I don't get a willsave I gather? :)'. Traci pages: You may... Hmm. Most honorable thing she's done recently by her code? Hanging out by the swimming pool teasing the boys mercilessly with her swimsuit.. You paged Traci with 'I'll try the willsave. Charm only lasts CD min. anyway, s we'll play nice no matter how:)'. AutoJudge: Zach rolls: 2 + 3 = 5 . Check die: 1 You paged Traci with 'Not charmed! :)'. Traci pages: Oh Poot. Zach lets go of Traci's hand after a firm shake and looks to see Goldie has arrived. "Oh, hey. More friends of yours Roger?" He smiles. Roger nods "Zach, I'd like you to meet Goldie, Goldie this is Zach." Roger lets Goldie and Zach talk as he looks at Traci, seated next to him. "So umm how's it going with you Traci?" Traci says, "It goes well enough. How are you doing?" Goldie gives a small shrug, "I'd've said passin assosiate at best, but close enough." She nods to Zach in way of a casual greeting, her hands staying firmly on her side of the table, "You new about here or have I missed seeing you before now?" You paged Traci with '3 most noble and ignoble things done last yeaar, Greatest virtue and sin /and/ what is the highest/lowest leves you aspire to in the Symphony.'. Zach smiles to Goldie and offers his hand to shake. "I'm new. Just came to town about a month ago. Nice to meet you Goldie!" Roger something flashes in his eyes as Traci asks him "I'm doing good. Enjoying the summer and cheerleading practice?" Long distance to Traci: Zach takes a point of cognitive dissonance at the swimsuit and honor combo, oocly:) Goldie reaches out and takes the offered hand, a rather bland expression on his face as her slender fingers are enveloped by Zach's far larger ones, "Well, it's good to hear that you still like the place. Some people curse the place after the first afternoon, probably sometime soon aftet they manage to get lost..." Traci pages: Well, you can definitely tell I'm a sinful, wicked little girl - but that butter woudn't melt in my mouth. Hachilah wanders over to the kitchen. Zach chuckles. "It's the barberque food and the lovely girls! I'm hooked! Won't you sit an' join us?" He shoves out a chair with his foot. Traci pages: Hmm. Honorable: Posing for Beppin School. Taking a schoolfriend to a frat party so she could be the entertainment. Seducing Roger. You sense Goldie's hand felt like bone and whipcord against your own, seemingly without strength but with a deceptive toughness to it. Goldie seems torn for a moment but finally nods, "I ate already, so I won't have anything, but I can sit with you people if you like." Roger looks up as Goldie joins them "Sure, that would be great." Hachilah gets a cup of coffee, and seems to become engaged in a conversation with another patron. Her attention strays periodically to the people assembled so cheerily around Roger and Zach. Roger glances over at Zach as he waits for Traci to answer and raises an eyebrow. The crowd is nicely developed, and as always the air is thick with the smell of tangy BBQ. The music is currently a piped version of some classic blues as the live band takes their first break. You say, "I hope they get back soon. They're good!" Roger grins at Zach "Well I'm here for the beer, but the music is good too. Roger senses "Zach's eyes turn cold for a split second when they meet yours, and an imperceptible narrowing of his left eye could be a wink." Goldie glances at the quietly sitting Traci and comments, "You seem oddly silent tonight? Shoudl I try and guess what's keeping your brain occupied?" Roger looks away from Zach towards Hachilah and calls out "Hachi, come join the party." Traci says, "Sorry.. just some things on my mind. A hard day at practice and the pool. What have you been up to." Hachilah smiles a bit at the fellow she's talking to. She shakes her head and nods over at the table of interest. At Roger's invitation she smiles a bit wider, and waves to the fellow. She wanders over to the table. Zach grins to Roger. "Beer's good too!" He clonks his bottle against Roger's. Roger chuckles, his attention returning to the Traci "Ah, how was swimming. ME? I've been working and hanging out with Zach here at the Bluebird." He turns, slightly starlted as Zach taps his beer bottle but then flashes a grin at him "Hey Hachilah, glad you could join us." Goldie gives an almost negligent shrug, "Not that much. It's summer after all and when it starts to get hot, what can you do?" Traci pages: Okay. Dishonorable - Avoided joining friends on an outign out of fear, and lied about the reason why. Avoided following up on a sworn obligation. .. Hachilah smiles less as she approaches the table. She looks around the table, and acknowledges everyone with a tight nod. Traci says, "Well, there's always poosl and air conditioning." Ada sidles in, keeping to the edges, the crowd between her and everything else. Roger nods "How did people live before AC out here I'll never know." Traci says, "It was a bother during Tammy Wynette weather.." Zach beams at Hachilah. "Heeyy! Sweetheart! SO nice to see you!" He opens his arms. "Where's the love??" Roger blinks at Traci "What's Tammy Wynette weather? Goldie folds her arms in front of her, suddenly seemign awward with her fleece jacket on as opposed to the lighter wear of so many of those aroudn her. Hachilah can't help but smile at Zach. She grins widely and launches herself into a hug. Zach hugs Hachi tightly. Ada sits at the bar and orders a scotch. You whisper "She's BAD!" to Hachilah. You sense Hachilah stiffens. She nods. "What do we do?" Traci starts to sing, with an exaggerated twang "Stand by your fannnnn... And don't do anything Strenuous... Traci ducks.. Zach explodes into a guffaw at Traci's alternative version of the old hit! Goldie chuckles, "You must get -so- much fruit to add to your diet if you have a habit of singing in public like that..." You whisper "We play nice until we, /I/, get her alone." to Hachilah. Roger throws back his head and laughs loudly. It slowly fades away as he lowers his eyes and looks at Traci, a small smile still playing on his lips. Hachilah gives Traci a double eyebrow raise, then reluctantly withdraws from Zach's hug. Traci says, "Oh.. I can sing.. it's just that that SO called for that style." You sense Hachilah narrows her eyes slightly and gets a disapproving look as she pulls away. Goldie nods appreciatively then seems to catch herself, saying in a carefully bland tone, "Oh, I'm sure that you can hit the right notes sometimes..." Zach chuckles. "So basically Tammy Wynette weather is the kinda weather were you should wear as little as possible and don't venture outside durind the middle of the day. Of coures pre AC people were to uptight to wear little clothing, so they suffered." Zach looks to Roger as he says this. Roger is still looking at Traci and doesn;t seem to have heard Zach. Zach smiles to Hachilah. "Won't you joins us, hon?" He gestures to the chair between Roger and Goldie. Traci says, "Oh.. I can do that.." Goldie is sitting opposite Traci, who is sitting between Zach and Roger. Goldie looks at the time and blinks, "I have to head off about now, so if people don't mind I'll make excuses and go." Goldie stands up, making room for Hachilah to sit down where she had been, "Actually, since you've got enough people here I'll just leave and make room for you all. See you all some other time." Traci waves as Goldie stands "Later!" Hachilah regards Goldie with a pained expression. She doesn't say anything as the girl leaves. Goldie heads away from the table, not looking back and ignoring any comments from the others there. While not quite hurrying, she doesn't dawdle either. Roger blinks and tears his eys away from Traci "Err bye Goldie." Zach smiles warmly to Goldie. "LAter!" Zach wathces Hachi curiously over his rapidly emptying bottle. "You know her?" He inclines his head in the disappearing Goldie's direction. Roger returns his gaze to Traci "So how was swiming? It's been a while since I last went." Hachilah looks at Zach. She nods. "Yep." She picks up her coffee mug and takes a sip, without further elaboration. Traci says, "Swimming was okay.. lots of people at the ppl" You paged Roger with 'Is Roger acting or does he seem genuinly er..interested?:)'. You paged Roger with 'That is - if he's obvious about either:)'. Roger pages: oh he seems defently drawn towards Traci. You paged Roger with 'Ok. Just so I know when to start kicking shins under tables:)'. Roger smiles a bit "Sounds fun, especialy on these hot days." He takes another drink of his beer. "Hey can I get you anything to drink? Coke or something? Traci says, "A coke will be fine." Zach looks from Roger to Traci. "So where is this pool? I haven't come across one yet." Hachilah sips her coffee, her attention resting on Traci. Roger nods and stands. He heads over to the bar and orders the Coke. While he waits he looks back over at the table. Ada sits at the end of the bar, on her second longneck,. Traci says, "At the school sports complex." Roger takes the Coke once it's up and starts to head back to the table when he notices Ada at the bar. He changes direction and heads over to her "Ada, when did you come back in, I didn't see you. Come join us." Ada looks over. "I think your table's full enough." At your table, Zach leans a bit over to Traci and smiles a tad wolfishly. "Ah, the school of course. And...do you enjoy school then, little one?" Roger tilts his head, still holding the Coke "You sure, we would enjoy your company. At your table, Zach's eyes are intense and focuses entirely on Traci. Ada shrugs. "You're having a good enough time, it looks like. I'll stay." Traci says, "I enjoy school.. It's great.. I've got great teachers, I'm on the cheerleading squad.." Roger frowns and shrugs "Your choice then." He turns and heads back to the table. Zach makes room for Roger again. Traci stretches a little, putting her shoulders back.. Hachilah regards Traci intently. She sips her coffee. Roger hands Traci her Coke, his hand lightly brushing hers. Traci smiles up at Roger "Thank you.. " At your table, Zach is still focusing on Traci though, smiling toothily and fingering his bottle idly. "And life treates you well all 'round?" Roger smiles back, almost reluctantly meeting her eyes "You're welcome." Traci says, "Pretty much.. It's a good life." At your table, Zach says "Oh I'll /bet/. I'm sure the girl you took to that fratparty thinks the same." Traci blinks "Frat party? Oh.. oh THAT! Yeah.. it was kinda a wild time." At your table, Roger winces slightly and looks down at his beer. Zach's eyes are hardening somewhat, but he leans back on his chair and stretches his legs. AutoJudge: Hachilah rolls: 6 + 5 = 11 . Check die: 1 Zach eyes Traci carefully. "A....wild time. Yeah, I guess that's one way of putting it." Roger glances over at Traci "What frat party was this? What happened? Traci says, "Yup.. I guess it is." Ada sits at the bar, on her third longneck, and watches the group at the table surreptitiously. Hachilah blinks a bit, distracted, and takes a sip of coffee. Zach keeps fingering his bottle idly. "The kind of frat party that likes 'live entertainment'. Traci here brought a girlfriend there to be that...entertainment.." Roger looks between Zach and Traci, his eyes widing. Traci says, "Well.. it wasn't quite like that.. but she did have a little too much.. and when I found her again she was .. well.." Hachilah puts her coffee cup down, glances at Zach, then back at Traci. Roger hand closes around his beer bottle "She was what Traci?" Traci says, "She was with a couple of the guys.." Roger voice is tense "And just how old is your friend Traci?" Hachilah regards Traci curiously. Zach keeps his mouth shut, but one can see his jaw muscles working. Traci says, "She's my age.." Roger breaths out slowly as he talks "I see...why exactly did you and her go to this party in the first place? You're 15 years old." Hachilah glances at Roger, then at Traci, then at Zach, then back at Traci. Ada gets up and moves to a table by herself. The bar is becoming quite crowded. Traci says, "I met one of the guys while we were shopping.. He didn't say waht sort of party it was when he asked us." Ada sits down at Table 3. Roger looks over at Zach or Hachilah hoping that they would chime in. "So why didn't you leave when you saw what sort of party it was?" AutoJudge: Traci rolls: 2 + 1 = 3 . Check die: 2 AutoJudge: Hachilah rolls: 4 + 6 = 10 . Check die: 1 You paged Traci with 'Just need to clarify something. "Posing for Beppin School." Is that like faking being a pupil there? Posing for a yearbook? Er? I'm confused:)'. Hachilah says, "ARGH" Traci pages: Beppin School is a japanese adult mag, specializing in schoolgirls. Zach smiles a predatory little smile. "Oh, I guess she thought it was kinda neat to be there. She seems to be quite the little huntress." You paged Traci with 'Ah! Thanks! :)'. Roger glances over as Ada moves to a nearby table but quickly returns his attention to his own table and frowns at Zach "What do you mean?" Hachilah's eyes narrow considerably in Traci's direction. "Don't believe her, she's lying." She states it simply, but in a vaguely hostile tone. Zach nods vaguely to Hachilah. Zach looks back to Traci. "Say, isn't it a bit unusual for a girl so....young.. to be living on her own in the big city?" Roger looks over at Zach and shakes his head "Oh Traci lives with her aunt don't you Traci" Traci says, "I live with my aunt." Zach ahs. "Oh kay." AutoJudge: Traci rolls: 4 + 1 = 5 . Check die: 1 AutoJudge: Hachilah rolls: 4 + 6 = 10 . Check die: 4 Zach lifts his eyebrow towards Hachilah. Zach smirks a bit. "Does your...eh.. aunt know about those lovely pictures you posed for a while back, m'dear?" Traci says, "Pictures?" Roger takes long drink of his beer and blinks slightly "What pictures? Zach smiles and nods. "Yes pictures. Photographs for that magazine thingy?" Hachilah pages: We're having a disagreement. You paged Hachilah with '?'. Roger blinks "You mean that photo essy Connor is doing? Hachilah pages: She says she has an aunt through her role. The sympany believes that she lives with her aunt. Traci says, "She has no problem with the photo essay" Hachilah sits back and eyes Traci suspciously. Hachilah pages: I'm not resonating... I'm detecting lies. :) From afar, Hachilah failed her first rez roll. <:) You say, "And how bout the other photos? For that japanese magazine?" Roger looks at Traci "What magazine was that?" Traci blinks "What japanese magazine?" Ada walks over and lays her hands on Hachilah's shoulders. Hachilah grits her teeth. She seems about to say something, but looks up and seems greatly surprised to see... Ada? Zach smiles a tad coldly. "Beppin S..." He stops whe he sees Ada. Roger needs to go Ada says, "Hello, all." Zach smiles warmly to Ada. "Hey, sweet." Roger stands and looks down at Traci, his eyes cold "I have head to work I'm afraid. Ada says, "How is everything tonight?" Roger waves Zach says, "Okay, we'll pick this up another night. It started out quite well:)" Roger says, "night!" Ada waves to Roger. Zach says, "Bye!" Zach grins. "Oh it just went from 'good' to 'excellent'!" Traci says, "I don't understand.." Hachilah begins to look mildly horrified. She glances at Zach, then back at Ada. Zach leans over to Traci and whispers something to her softly. You whisper "Sure you do. But let's leave it for now. I'm sure we'll meet again, oh little one of the dark heart." to Traci. Zach smiles calmly to Hachilah and relaxes on his chair. "Anyone want anything more to drink?" Hachilah glances at Zach. "Coffee?" Ada rubs Hachilah's shoulders. "One for me too, if you please." Zach looks around. "You want another coke Traci?" Hachilah leans back and rests her head on Ada's shoulder and whispers something to her. Zach flags down a waitress to take their orders. Hachilah mutters to Ada, "... How are... doing today?" Ada mutters to Hachilah, "... badly at... depressive spells,... it..." Hachilah mutters to Ada. Ada mutters to Hachilah. Zach raises his eyebrows to the whispering girls. Hachilah mutters to Ada, "... Why are you..." Ada mutters to Hachilah, "I've... here... wanted... place... out where... that..." Hachilah smiles slightly. Hachilah mutters to Ada. Ada mutters to Hachilah, "Where..." Ada closes her eyes and smiles warmly. The waitress returns with two coffes, a coke and a beer. She is off again before Zach is even halfway through a 'Thank you'. Traci says, "Sure.. another coke..". Zach distributes hot and cold beverages around the table. "Here you go ladies.." Ada slides into Roger's abandoned seat. Hachilah takes the coffee, and gives Zach a small, yet genuine, smile of thanks. Zach crinkles a smile to Ada. "So whatcha been doing today, hon? Just lazing around vacationing or what?" Ada says, "Yup." Ada says, "Exactly that." Zach grins. "Good girl!" The current time in Kansas City is 9:58 PM, Tue Jul 09, 2002. Traci says, "Thank you.." Ada is untanned, though. Zach smiles to Traci. "You're welcome lil' lady." Ada takes her fedora and sets it atop Hachilah's head. Hachilah smiles in spite of herself. Zach eyes Ada's lack of tan. "Well youve not been roasted, so I guess the lazing has been done away from the sun? Like in company with friendly comics, maybe?" His eyes twinkle teasingly. Ada says, "Mm... that sounds good." Ada says, "Mostly videos, though." Hachilah adds in, "And incense." Ada says, "Videos, oven-roasted pizza, and a two-liter of soda..." Ada giggles. "And incense. You should have seen the apartment last night! I think I had fifteen different burners going. It was insane! Hachilah nearly choked to death!" Zach raises is beerbottle in salut. "Here's to pigging out!" Zach laughs. Hachilah grins and almost giggles. "The ambient air was approaching opaque!" Traci says, "I know.. I could smell it myself.." Ada arches her eyebrows as she drains her coffee. "And where have you been, Mr. 'I'll Stop In Tomorrow And See How You're Doing'?" Zach chuckles and shakes his head. He stretches a bit. "Flat on my back underneath a very big girl." Ada says, "Oh, has Roxanne been after you too?" Hachilah tilts her head to the side, giving Zach an odd look. Zach chortles. "No, this girl's German. Her name's Volkswagen Transporter." Ada raises an eyebrow. "Hell of a name. She must have had mean parents. Is her middle name Fahrvergnugen?" Traci giggles Zach grins. "I couldn't say. Haven't asked. She's a real bitch I can tell you that much. No fun /at all/." Ada says, "And yet you choose her over me? I'm insulted, Zach!" Zach stretches out his hand and pats Ada's hand. "I'm sorry. The Man made me do it, I had no choise." Ada curls her hand into a fist, getting a determined look on her face. "Damn the Man! He'll get his!" Hachilah sips her coffee and looks at everyone involved in this conversation as if they are somewhat unintellible. She trembles slightly at Ada's outburst, nearly spilling her coffee. Zach nods solemnly. "Oh yeah, he'll get his due. You mark my words! This /will/ cost him." Traci brings a hand to her mouth, hiding her giggles.. You say, "A few hundrded bucks..." Ada says, "...for spare parts and labor..."" Zach chortles. "Exactement, baby! Not to mention the extra-bad language I had to employ. Doesn't come cheap that." Ada says, "Can you charge extra for having to work on a Volkswagen?" Hachilah glances at Zach. Zach shakes his head. "I don't. But I practically had to rebuild the damned thing, so the Man will notice his wallet slimming anyway." Ada says, "Now, is this a local Man, or a tourist?" Hachilah glances at Ada with a kind of surprised look, then smiles. Zach grins. "Localish. Has a gas station a few miles outta town. Dunno how he manages to get business out here with a /German/ car, but..." He sobers up a bit. "But I'm sorry, hon. I shoulda called. Must learn to use that phonethingy." Ada blinks. Then blinks again. Ada says, "I..." Ada says, "I... have a phone?" Traci is shaking in her chair, trying to suppress giggles Ada says, "I'm astonished! I'm amazed! I'm... wondering if I should maybe check my messages..." Hachilah raises her eyebrow at Ada. Zach pttbbtts Ada. "Yeah go ahead. Just rub it in willya?" Ada mimics. *beep!* "Ada, this is your father calling. Are you coming home for Thanksgiving? We'd like to see you before the New Year, at least, and if we don't... well, hope everything doesn't crash! Love ya!" Ada giggles. Ada says, "I hope he's not worried. 'Hi, Daddy... yeah, I just found the phone... No, I won't be home for Thanksgiving '99...'" Hachilah blinks and blinks. Zach pats Hachilah's hand and grins. Traci tries not to laugh as she says "Hachilah.. they're yanking your chain.. putting one over on you... " Ada finishes her coffee. Ada grins. Hachilah blinks and blinks. She looks at Traci, then Zach, then Ada. She raises both eyebrows and smiles slightly. Ada wonders what the table arrangement is. Hachilah says, "You took Roger's seat." Hachilah says, "I was between Roger and Goldie" Traci was between Roger and Zach. Hachilah says, "So... it's Zach, Traci, Ada, Hachilah." Hachilah says, "And these are picnic tables..." Ada nods. Ada Oh, right. Hachilah says, "So, Traci and Zach on one side, you and me on the other. :" Zach stretches over the table and ruffles Hachilah's hair affectionately. Hachilah grins at Zach. "Ah yes. The irony of it all?" She looks mildly baffled. Ada says, "So what are the three of you doing on this fine, blazingly hot evening?" Zach nods to Hachilah. Traci says, "Just hanging out, Ada.." Zach smiles to Ada. "Well I'm lounging around here for the beer, the music and the girls. Not necessarily in that order. And I was lucky enough to see some familiar faces." Ada says, "I hope not in that order. The beer's awful." Ada says, "And I happen to know that at least one of the girls is better than that..." Hachilah smiles at Zach. Her attention swings to Ada. She pauses, and seems to decided not to respond. Zach waves his bottle of imported Belgian beer. "I go for the class act, hon." He winks. "Always." Ada eyes the bottle. "Belgium? My goodness, but you have expensive tastes." Zach grins. "I know good beer, and it ain't Bud! 'sides you /know/ I like quality." Traci stands "I shoud be off.. It's getting late. Ada turns her gaze back to Traci. "How... never mind. Take care, Trace. Sweet dreams." Hachilah examines the bottle, too, until Traci stands. Traci says, "How what, Ada?" Ada says, "I was going to ask how you met Zach and Roger." Zach smiles to Traci. "See ya 'round, little one." Traci says, "ROger used to walk me home late in the evenings.." Traci senses "Zach's eyes are somewhat burning." Ada nods. Hachilah regards Traci narrowly. She doesn't offer a parting pleasantry. Ada says, "And Zach's a friend of his? Or do you know each other separately?" Traci says, "Zach is a friend of his.." You say, "Roger introduced us this very evening." Ada nods. Ada says, "Well, I won't keep you with more inane questions." Traci says, "Okay.. See you, Ada" Traci turns and walks to the door. Traci steps outside. Traci has left. Zach is shifting on his chair. Ada looks at Zach. "What's the matter?" Hachilah glances at Zach. "Do you... want to see if she needs an escort?" She speaks slowly. Zach seems uneasy for some reason, but forcibly relaxes and drinks his beer. Ada's face darkens at that question. You sense Hachilah is giving you a meaningful look. You say, "Yeah.. Maybe I should offer her a lift home. It's late..." Hachilah looks very thoughtful. "Or. Perhaps. You should wait." You paged Traci with 'I wont follow this time. I gotta go soon.. :/'. Zach sighs. "She can handle herself, that one." Hachilah nods. Ada gets up. Hachilah tilts her head and looks at Ada. Zach smiles to Ada. "It's nothing, sweet." Ada says, "I, on the other hand, would appreciate it if my two favorite people on the entire planet would help me home." Ada pauses, then hiccups rather overdramatically. "I seem to... have drunk a little too much, yknow?" Zach relaxes and grins to Hachi. "This sounds like an order we cannot refuse.." Hachilah nods, but seems a little off. Zach digs out some cash to pay for the drinks. Ada mutters to Hachilah, "... love?" Zach holds out his hand to Hachilah. Hachilah takes Zach's hand and gets up. Hachilah looks at Ada and just shakes her head. She smiles slightly. "Let's just go home, Ada." Zach gives Hachilah a hug and whispers something in her ear with a smile. You whisper "Don't worry." to Hachilah. Ada smiles. "Okay." Zach then puts an arm around Ada and starts manouvering his ladies towards the exit. Hachilah looks at Zach and shakes her head again. She is easily led. You sense Hachilah seems extremely unconvinced. Ada sighs and follows Zach's lead. You paged Hachilah with 'Angels will talk when human is asleep, right? :)'. Hachilah pages: you betcha. Zach leads the girls to his bright yellow tow car to drive them home. Hachilah lets Ada get in first. Ada sighs softly and climbs in. IT's a quite big truck, so it's kinda roomy inside. There seems to be room enough to sleep in it if you shove the seats all the way to the front. Hachilah climbs in after, glancing at Zach again. She seems about to speak, but then doesn't. She admires the roominess. Zach starts the engine and drives on into the night. Vrooom! Ada sheds most of her clothing as soon as she's in the door, curling up at the far corner of the couch. Zach needs to go. Will indulge in masive cuddling and similar activities. If you wanna go on playing, just define what he does. Hachilah wanders into the apartment, raises an eyebrow at the semi-drunk half-undressed Ada on the couch. She sneaks a quick look at Zach. Zach is versatile! :) Hachilah says, "Heh :)" Zach wanders over to Ada and puts his arms around her. "You want some water to drink, hon?" Hachilah says, "Have a great day at work :)" Ada says, "No, thank you. I'm fine." Ada is obviously not drunk. [Public] Zach says, "Thanks for the rp, everyone! :)" Ada waves. "Take care. Have a good day; I'll see you later." Zach cuddles Ada. Hachilah watches. Zach says, "I'm off:)"
