Subject: Asking for fund-raising suggestions.
 Happy New Year To All:

Our club in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan is planning to do some
fund-raising in order to help finance three of our members to go to Alymer,
Que. later this year. I am wondering how other clubs manage fund-raising.
What ideas work and what don't. We are trying to avoid working bingo, due
to the health hazard of cigarette smoke. One suggestion is a bottle drive
and another is a pizza party. Our club is small, 35 members (mostly under
16 yrs.) but we are motivated. Any ideas from other GTF members would be
 most appreciated.

Also, our group is wondering how other clubs make their travel
arrangements. Does one person make arrangements for the whole group, or
are individuals responsible for their own arrangements? In the past, we
have found that there has been a real lack of communication as to times and
places of the events. Who can be contacted to obtain this information in
advance, so our members can make necessary travel and accommodation
 arrangements?

 Thanks for the help.
