Subject: RE: GTF/USTF

The connection between the GTF and USTF is that they are "sister
organizations." After the GTF was created, letters of recognition were shared
between Grand Master Park, Master McNeely, and Master Hardin. In these
letters of recognition, the USTF and the MATC (which is now the CTF) were
recognized as legitimate styles of TaeKwon-Do through the GTF, and would be
allowed to participate in GTF functions. Although the USTF and MATC existed
before the GTF was created, the GTF is an international body. The USTF and
MATC benefit from this due to the access of international competition,
seminars and Grand Master Park. I believe in return, Grand Master Park would
play a role in the other federations, such as promoting the senior ranks. To
be honest, I am unsure of the specifics, and if I have anything wrong here,
maybe someone can correct me. But this is the general idea.

Can anyone clarify exactly what the connection between the GTF and USTF
is? It is my understanding that there are people who are members of both
 Federations.
