You're probably wondering who Jean-Jaques Lavalle is, and why he warrants his own link on that which was supposed to be a Street Fighter site?

Well, Jean-Jaques is, quite simply, the longest-running Street Fighter character I've had. He's actually the second character I created - I realized that with my first character, I had created an unplayable munchkin. Yes, he won fights - no, he wasn't any fun to play scenarios with. So I created Jean-Jaques.

Jean-Jaques is the original slick Frenchman, complete with outrageous accent. He's rich, he's fairly handsome, and he fights using la Boxe Francaise, also known as Savate. He's also a medical doctor, and intensely dislikes that which he considers dishonorable. Of course, as a 6^th Rank Street Fighter, that which he considers dishonorable might get a kick in the face, or any other appropriate body part.

Actually, Jean-Jaques uses two names. To the Street Fighter circuit, he is Jean-Jaques Xavier. To the rest of the world, he is Jaques Lavalle. And, to his friends, he is quite simply Jean-Jaques. Or 'that French bastard', depending on who you're talking with .
