>>>>>(It must be said, the Jensen engine is incredible. The overhaul interval is 25,000 miles; incredible for a 1,200 horsepower unit, and reliability is exceptional. Fuel consumption isn't too bad either, provided you keep the supercharger off. The MFP one I saw in action mounted two Victory assault cannons and a Winter Systems laser in the turret. Vicious. Also, Jensen does an upgrade consisting of external rack rockets under blowoff covers: twenty 127mm Zuni rockets for the paranoid to play with. Again, the MFP use those a lot for roadblock busting. I figure after you put in twenty Zunis and a few bursts of 30mm cannon fire, it ain't gonna be much of a roadblock no more.)<<<<<

Reconnaissance Drones

RACCOON® RECON DRONE

-Created by Jeff Holt (mystic@brokersys.com)
This remote drone is the first Winter Systems' attempt to break into the non-combat remote arena. Unbelievably, it was an outstanding success nearly surpassing the AZT Crawler in worldwide sales in the first two months of its service life. It was also voted best new non-combat remote by the subscribers of Virtual Vehicles Quarterly and sales only seem to be going up. The Raccoon® features an advanced sensors package, offering the absolute latest in sensor technology. Optic-Mag 3, HeatSeeker® Thermographic Optics, and TunnelVision® 10 Low-Light Optics make this sensor suite the best nuyen can buy. In addition, the Raccoon® also utilizes a Lithium v.2 Duralast® Battery, making the Raccoon® capable of continuous operation for up to 72 hours without a recharge. The Raccoon® is approximately the size of a loaf of bread, and sports a four wheel, independent suspension system, with limited off-road capability. Overall, the Raccoon® is an all around success, no matter how you rate it.

Cost: 3,000¥
Operational Duration: 72 Hours in a stationary mode**
Set-up/Breakdown: None
Sensor Package: Standard (1)***
*Two CF worth of cargo space is needed to transport this drone in another vehicle.
**For every minute of travel at cruise speed, the drone uses 3 minutes of energy. Each minute at flank speed counts as 6 minutes of energy.
***For an additional 7,500¥, this package can be upgraded to Enhanced (2) Sensors package, a savings of 2,500¥!

>>>>>(I'll have to say, for once this propaganda drek isn't for off the mark. I've been using the Raccoon for about a month now, and I haven't had a single problem with it yet. As a matter of fact, I'm probably going to buy another one just as soon has I can scrape the nuyen together.)<<<<<

WEASEL® RECON DRONE

-Created by Jeff Holt (mystic@brokersys.com)
Tired of the opposition using ECM to jam your remotes? Tired of those pesky criminals, glamorized by the news media, blowing your recon drones way? Then the Weasel® Remote Drone is for you. The Weasel® is outfitted with a sensors package like that of the Raccoon®, a Lithium v.2 Duralast® Battery, SIX wheel-independent suspension, a Mil-Tech® 9 ECCM suite, and 2-layer Ceremet armor. This drone represents no less than 2 years of dedicated research and extensive field testing under the most adverse conditions possible. The Weasel® has seen nearly three months of action with Eagle Security in Chicago, and so far the reports are very promising. Of the 100 pre-prod units sold to Eagle Security, only 12 of the units have been disabled badly enough to be a write off.

Weasel® Remote Recon Drone
Handling: 4/3
Speed: 5/15
B/A: 5/3
Sig.: 8
APilot: 2
Store: 3 CF*
Cost: 100,000¥
Operational Duration: 72 Hours in a stationary mode.**
Set-up/Breakdown: None
Sensor Package: Standard (1)***
ECCM Gear: Security (2)
*Three CF worth of cargo space is needed to transport this drone in another vehicle.
**For every minute of travel at cruise speed, 5 minutes of energy are used. For every minute of travel spent at flank speed, 10 minutes of energy are used. The ECCM gear requires more energy than normal sensors, so every minute of operation uses 20 minutes of energy. Furthermore, while traveling, the drone is unable to use the ECCM gear due to the energy requirements.
***For an additional 7,500¥, this package can also be upgraded to Enhanced (2) Sensors package, a savings of 2,500¥.

NITEOWL® RECON DRONE

-Created by Jeff Holt (mystic@brokersys.com)
The NiteOwl® recon drone is in a class of its own. This VTOL remote is powered by four Rolls-Royce Vectored-Thrust engines, capable of keeping the drone aloft for 6 hours before needing re-fueling. The NiteOwl® comes standard with a Eagle Eye® sensors package (Optic-Mag 3, Thermographic, and Low-Light), Ceremet armor and enhanced thermal masking. Although this is a VTOL, it is able to be used in-doors much like the Ares Sentinel® can. Remember, if covert ops is your business, trust the NiteOwl®, a cut above the rest!

HAWKEYE® RECON DRONE

-Created by Jeff Holt (mystic@brokersys.com)
Looking for the ultimate recon drone? Look no further than the Hawkeye® drone. This drone features the absolute cutting edge in sensor technology, the Eagle-Eye® Imaging System. The Eagle-Eye® system features Electronic Optical Magnification level 3, Low-Light and Thermographic Imaging and the all new BlindSite® Ultrasound Imaging system (for more info on a like system, check out SSC pg. 36). By all appearances, the Hawkeye® closely resembles the Microskimmer. There the similarity ends. Like the other remotes in the Winter Systems' family, this drone is coated with Ceremet armor and is therefore more likely to see a long, and reliable service life. Compared to the competition, the Hawkeye wins, hands down.
