  • Description of a punch

All punches for Gup rank's uses the same part of the fist to focus the power through:
Knuckle 1 and 2 (pointing- and long-finger's knuckle)

The fist is formed by putting the fingertips inside the palm, tighten the fingers and put the tummy on top of 1&2 finger's 2. part. Keep the fist lined with the rest of your arm - no angles in the wrist.

The punch movement is basically as the following:

    1. Put one arm (left) straight out in front of you, the other one (right) on your side - fist on the belt just above the hip.
    2. Create a upward movement while breathing in:
      • With straight feet you move up on toes.
      • With bent feet you straighten them out.
    3. Create a downward movement wile breathing out and at the same time move your straight arm (left) towards your side, and the arm that is by your side (the punching arm) forward in a straight line (no hooking, uppercuts etc. - plain basic)
    4. At the same moment your feet are back at start position (the position before step 2.) the punch shall land at the target - (in basic you imagine you have a target - in the centreline of your own body)

Do not try to execute this without proper instructions - if hitting a target wrong you may harm yourself. If hitting a target correct you will harm it - especially if the target is a living organism, including man (Homo Sapiens).

The name of a punch is described as:
Stance + height + type of punch.
    Example:
Walking stance middle reverse fore fist punch - that consist of:
Stance: Walking stance + Height: middle + Type:reverce fore fist punch
Gunnun so + Kaunde + Bande + Jirugi
    Gunnun so Kaunde Bande Jirugi
