This is the game plan for the next gaming session our party will have. The files referred to are or will be soon in the resource pool, except for elack.txt, i'd like to develop this character a lot more before i post him. I'll let you know how the game went!

THE TRANSACTION (game 3)

The Tantiss freighter (see tantiss.txt) and it's cargo are returned to Halbara one and the rockets are off-loaded and put into security storage. The freighter is taken in and worked on to return it to a normal operational state.

Radel wants to get rid of the rockets, launchers and freighter as fast as possible, as they are incriminating, but does not want them to go to the empire. Radel has Rebel sympathies and will try to arrange a sale. Radel does not care much about getting a good price, just about keeping it all quiet.

The PC's will be sent to Elrood as a part of the regular ore convoy with a confidential data disk which they have been instructed to give to a mysterious contact. Before they meet the contact they will have time to find and put a deposit on a ship with their hard-earned wages. Other than this they are not told very much about the mission, except that it must be done in the strictest confidence.

They meet the contact at Elrooden starport in "The Pit", a local tavern. They meet, discuss and the contact tells them only minimal info - ie: that he is a potential "buyer" for the recently acquired goods. If they ask his name, he says "Just call me Elack". (see Elack.txt)

Elack says he would prefer it if they continued their discussion in his ship where he can be sure that they are not being watched and he can read the "conditions of sale" in more detail. He gets up, and motions the PC's to follow him.

Soon after they leave the tavern, they see a group of four stormtroopers. Elack acts a little nervous and tries to remain hidden, as he heads towards the docking bays. Twenty seconds later the group hears "Hey you! Stop in the name of the Emperor!"

"Follow me!" shouts Elack as he breaks into a run. A chase begins.

- Initially exits the Pit and heads towards main walkway in "hub" of spaceport.
- Heads east along main walkway
- See troopers and stop
- Troopers notice and call out
- Run back past Pit to the speeder way outside the main ring
- Elack produces a hold-out blaster and hijacks a speeder
- Signals the PC's to get in and they fly against the traffic for a while
- Occasionally blaster bolts shoot past but all miss
- Pass flight control and security centre
- Intersect travelator sending people sprawling
- Arrive at docking bay as security guards leave flight control
- Get in Elack's ship "Blade" (see blade.txt) and power up
- Take off just as security speeders arrive
- Enter low orbit 2 minutes later
- Hailed by Prosperity cruiser 'Saviour'
"This is the Prosperity Cruiser Saviour. You are to come to a stop and prepare to be boarded. If you do not comply, you will be fired upon."
- Group have one minute to enter hyperspace before Prosperity is within tractor beam range
- Elack demands Halbar's co-ordinates
- If they do, they will get away in one minute and ten seconds
- If not they will hyper out somewhere else in one minute and 40 secs
- After the Prosperity is in range Elack will have to do some fancy maneuvering just to avoid being hit and captured.

During the hyperspace jump, Elack will explain the situation fully and introduce the rebellion to the campaign for the first time. At this stage the rebellion is still young and fairly disorganised.

Eventually, the group will return to Halbara, even if it is via some other hyperpoint if the PC's originally did not give Elack Halbar's co- ordinates. Elack will then discuss the deal with the Radel execs in person and the sale will be made. Elack tells Radel about a rendezvous at a system where the exchange can take place and the players are asked to go along with the ship carrying the rockets (an AII freighter see a2freigh.txt).

The rendezvous point is at an uncharted system near the Tifnyl system. However the empire has intercepted and decoded transmissions regarding the rendezvous, and will send the ISD Thunderflare, under the command of Captain Pryl. The ISD will come out of hyperspace about 140 units away (46 rounds or 3 minutes 55 seconds at double cruising speed according to 3rd ed movement rules). It will send out a squadron of 12 TIE/ln fighters, followed by a second wave minutes later. The first wave will reach the rendezvous at two minutes twenty seconds after the ISD arrived, the second at three minutes, 25 seconds (30 secs after they launch).

The ships involved in the rendezvous are :

The PC's are piloting the Tantiss freighter and manning it's single cannon. The rendezvous will have been underway for 34 minutes when the ISD arrives, and the exchange will nearly have taken place. The Galofree freighter will be in the process of disconnecting from the AII, but the new crew for the Tantiss freighter will not have taken command as a result of difficulty in successfully mating the two ship's airlocks. The Gnat will be ordered back to the Corellian Corvette at the first sign of the ISD and the PC's will be ordered to pilot the freighter to the rebel base. The co-ordinates will be transmitted to them on a narrow beam which the empire will not be able to intercept.

As of the moment of the ISD's arrival it will take each ship this long to enter hyperspace safely :
