This is an emergency use only gadget for those times when you've fallen, and you haven't hit the ground yet. The glider is made of highly lightweight mylar (and other space-age materials), and is carried as a back-pack when not deployed. After use, it can be packed back up and used again, but this requires from 30 minutes to an hour, and possibly a skill roll.
