Seagull

The Seagull is one of the most common light civilian planes on frontier planets. It is capable of landing and taking off from both ground and water; its top airspeed is nothing to write home about, but it can go pretty much anywhere, and the RTG power source means that constant refueling is not an issue -- it can get from anywhere on a planet to anywhere else on the same planet in no more than a few days. While it's priced a little above what most private individuals can afford, it is often used as a recreational vehicle by those with a bit more cash, and they're widely available for rent (daily price might be about $100 not including a pilot). Most towns in remote areas also own at least one of these planes.
